I always have to eat the Pea soup! I don't care that my family doesn't care for it but I just love it! I get the "toppings", which consist of bacon bits, cheese, croutons, green onions and ham, to put on the soup. This is extra charge from the soup it's self. Use half if you intend to get a... More

The pea soup is of course a must to try -- and even to take home in a can -- but they ought to bottle the Ranch Dressing used on the salads which are fresh and varied. The staff could be a bit more attentive, but the food makes up for any minor lapse in service.

We each got the soup and sandwich lunch. The soup is pea of course. It was OK, but I can only have so much pea soup. The sandwiches that we got were the tuna and the chicken salad. They were OK. Seemed like they were missing a side - a slice of fruit was all. A few fries or something... More

I hear the soup is wonderful, but I am not much for split pea soup. Try an omelet – they are great! This little restaurant is cute and quaint – especially if you get tired of big chain restaurant eating. Do not forget to take your photo outside in the photo board with head inserts!

Stopped here a few times for breakfast when passing through. I'm sure there are other breakfast places nearby that offer wider variety of breakfast options but we love the time-locked atmosphere of the elegant restaurant/gift shop places travelers would look for back in the day. Service is always excellent, special requests welcomed. Even if you're not interested in eating, check... More

This restaurant gives nice standard fare. We had the pot roast, lemon pepper salmon, veal cutlet, and our grandson a kids meal chicken tender. All were good and hearty. We are not pea soup fans because we make it ourselves, but by all means partake if you are so inclined. The management is attentive, and the wait staff efficiently friendly.

I had to come here because I am the only person in my family that loves split pea soup- hence I never have it at home. Can't comment on much else but my husband really liked his breakfast, pretty standard eggs, sausage - but the honest lye potatoes were excellent. Pretty scare tchotchkes shop you have to walk thu to... More

This is the way I remember coffee shops being years ago. Large menu, great food with lots of STUFF to check out around the building. Did I mention one of the few places I know that you can still get a good Monte Cristo sandwich.

Traveling down Highway 101 you will see several billboards for Andersen's. They are cute signs and your kids may notice them. If you have a child with you under 12 stop there for lunch or just to get a snack. Outside there is a huge cut out for your child to have his photo taken. Inside is a shop that... More
