We read an article about Guyi's mapo tofu in the LA Times and decided to give it a try. We arrived when the restaurant opened and were seated immediately. We ordered mapo tofu, cumin lamb, popcorn chicken, honey walnut shrimp, and mixed veggies. The food...came out promptly and everything tasted delicious, though the mixed veggies (yams and mu erh) was very bland. The cumin lamb and popcorn chicken were numbingly satisfying. Even though we requested mild spicy for the folks at our table with mild palates, they did not skimp on the Szechuan peppercorns in the mapo tofu, nor the chilies in the popcorn chicken. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you like spicy Chinese food.More
