We have been coming to Borrego for many years and it is always interesting to see what the Coyote comes up with for the more limited summer trade. This summer is limited to Friday and Saturday evenings and a price fix menu. My husband and I shared a meal, a $6 up charge, which was wonderful from beginning to end.... More

We ate here a few times and quickly exhausted the menu. That said the quality of all meals was very good and the price quite reasonable.. For a one-off visit it would be excellent. Maybe when they move off their summer menu the offerings would be more extensive

Drove to Borrego Springs last weekend to do some astro photograpy and wanted to start off with a nice meal. The Coyote Steakhouse fit the bill perfectly. The meal was great, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very nice.

The Margarita I had was the best. The food was top notch...a bargain for the quality. Atmosphere is lovely. The food was really, really good. The restaurant is in the amazing palms at indian head hotel. The restaurant is cozy and elegant, the wait staff is attentive but not overbearing. Everything was fresh and tasty. Best in town as far... More

This restaurant has outdoor and indoor seating and is part of a hotel. The food is quite good but service is slow. The slow service is not a big deal if you are outside next to the beautiful pool and high palms. They put real cherries in their Coke and mixed drinks are available. Good beer too.

As you mentioned the Coyote Steakhouse is in the Palms at Indian Head Hotel at the end of Hoberg Road. Our off-the-beaten path location with views of Borrego Valley offer guests peace and quite along with good food, full bar and draft beer. The views from the patios over the Olympic-sized pool are great and because we are close to... More

Went with a group of friends for happy hour and fish tacos. We were not disappointed. Tacos alittle spicy, but full of flavor. Margaritas were very good as well. Outside seating perfect with a beautiful view of the desert. Waiters friendly and helpful.

Judy the bartender/mixologista (and professional photographer) rocks the bar while Joey the pianist superbly entertains. Watch each of them carefully while they do their thing impeccably well. Greats drinks, fine music and the old-time "Wedge Salad" doesn't get any better. FYI, check out the pool beyond the bar and the panorama view of the desert at sundown. Take a deep... More

Lovely evening here with good food. However, what made it 5 stars was the piano music. The piano player was amazing with a wide variety of music. Dinner, drinks and music under the beautiful Borrego Sky.

Borrego Springs is a small community so if you stay the week you'll get to try most of the restaurants in the vicinity. This was my first time to the Coyote Steakhouse but I had been to the same location when it was the Red Ocotillo (which was good). It was a real pleasure sitting outside on the patio protected... So very glad you tried out the Coyote Steakhouse. The Red Ocotillo, which as you note was here together with the Steakhouse, has moved to just off Christmas Circle and is serving the same great food they previously served here. Since the Steakhouse is only open for dinner, the sunsets have added a special touch to the dinning experience. Sounds... More

It was my first time eating at the Coyote steakhouse in Borrego Springs on Saturday evening. I have been there when the Red Ocotillo was run out of the same restaurant but never had a dinner at the steakhouse before. I was not disappointed. Glad to hear we provided you and your guest with a pleasant experience. The pre fixe meal has become very popular, and as you note if you come in before 6:30 pm the price is $19.00 (after 6:30 pm it goes to $24.00). Everything is made fresh, rolls, pate, Chicken Cordon Bleu and cobbler, all homemade. It sounds like you... More
