Truly delicious ! Enjoyed lunch here - shrimp fajitas and chicken taco salad were so yummy! Friendly staff . Located on route 1 - don’t drive by it! Stop in for fresh salsas !

I Felt like we were Family

My Wife and I brought my elderly mom and Mother-in-law along with my sister and brother in law for dinner on Christmas Eve. Both mom's have some physical challenges and my mom struggles with decisions. The waiter was on the spot to help us get...settled. He took our drink order and checked back a few times to see if we were ready to order and realized my mom needed time. He spoke to her as if she were his own mom telling her to take her time. Mom decided to order the Tilapia. The waiter seemed concerned and told us they might be out and left to check. They were out of Tilapia and again he told my mom to take her time with another selection but he highly recommended the Salmon or Crab enchiladas. My Brother-in-law has diet restrictions and explained what he could not eat. The waiter suggested making a special plate with Salmon. My Brother agreed. The Salmon enchiladas were chosen by all but me, ( I don't like salmon ). I chose the Chili Verde. Everyone was amazed at the portions and the quality of the food. My Brother's plate was huge! I could not believe he ate it all but he loved it. The Chili Verde was some of the best I have ever had. It's not that spicy but there is a small kick to it. I will be back often!More

Excellent flavors

While staying in the nearby RV park, we ordered takeout for dinner. Others had recommended this small, roadside Mexican diner which is alongside Hwy 1. I had camarones al mojo de ajo which was excellent. I have ordered this in many restaurants with different preparations....This unique one features a great red sauce with mushrooms and medium sized shrimp, rice and choice of beans. My wife had the chili relleno and enchilada combo with choice of meat fillings and choice of beans. We were both very pleased with our meals and will go again. Indoor and outdoor seating. It was a warm day so indoors was a bit warm for me.More

Really good tacos

Went hiking up Red Hill near Jenner and forgot my lunch. Stopped here on way home. Wanted something inexpensive and not too much so ordered 2 tacos. They were really good. Piping hot, excellent homemade tortilla. I had shredded chicken and carnitas. Couldn't ask for...better The place was clean and convivial. Lots of families in town. Server, host etc was same person, so not fast. But heck you are on vacation and relax. Will come againMore

you won't be disappointed if you're looking for a casual meal

We had a positive experience here with a party of five, including three teens. We had delayed making a dinner reservation for this busy holiday weekend, and so La Bodegueta was one of the only places we could get in to on short notice. We...got lucky because the service was prompt and the food was plentiful and delicious. We appreciated the home-made salsas and such. The shrimp dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous. We would definitely return to support these hard working, industrious entrepreneurs.More

Thrilled that we chose this place!

The food was fabulous! The service wonderful. We had the special, La Mazatlan—crab, shrimp, chicken with a incredible red sauce. It was served with rice, beans and a bit of salad. If I weren’t so full, I’d have it again. Chips and two salsas were...served also. It was very reasonably priced in a town that is over priced. If we’re back, this is the only place we’ll eat! Again, another grand time

Always a ‘must stop’ while on the Sonoma coast. A few tweaks to the menu has just made it even better! The Chile Verde is some of the best I’ve had. Salsa’s that are so unbelievably fresh. Try one of the specials they offer daily....You can’t miss!More

Last minute take-out -- great choice!

The Mister and I were in Bodega Bay for a couple of days...didn't feel like cooking or going out...so I quickly looked up "restaurants near me" on Trip Advisor and La Bodegueta Mexican Grill appeared. Called to place our order, drove the 5 minutes to...pick it up and we had a delicious, piping hot dinner at "home". Restaurant staff were friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend! (I had shrimp/chicken fajitas and husband had carnitas...) Scrumptious!More

A slight stumble...

Every time we’re in Bodega Bay, we try to drop by. Generally they have 5 star service and food, however, this time not so much. Service was way off, and a bit on the surly side. Food was not up to par either. Not bad,...but lacking a bit in flavor. Some of the sides were not warm either. Their Chile Verde is a must have on the menu. We’ll be back tho...More
