Still strange to eat at a high end place like this and be served in to-go containers but that’s COVID for you! All food came very hot and it was nice to have the option to eat inside since it can be quite cool on...the coast. Great views too of course.More

The food is of good enough quality, but twice we got food that was not warm enough--or even cold. The server (Emily, I think) was great. She seemed to be bearing the whole load and did it with friendly efficiency. The atmosphere of the outdoor...dining is nice--as long os the wind is not too strong. but they do need to get the food served at the right temperature.More

What great food from the ceviche to the soup. From salmon to steak. From the great chocolate cake to the apple dessert

Ate here twice. Last night I had the mussels and the wedge salad. Husband has the Ling cod and heirloom tomato and cucumber salad. All was delicious. This morning I had the James Beard French toast and husband had the farmers omelette. Again, all were...fantastic and super yummy!More

We ordered breakfast twice when we were staying at the Bodega Bay Lodge. We ate in our room due to COVID, but I’d love to return and sit outside and eat. I’m sure it would be great. The pancakes and waffles were great, but the...bacon was inconsistent. The first day it was phenomenal, some of the best bacon I’ve ever eaten. The second time though it was some of the worst bacon I’ve ever eaten. I’d definitely eat here again if visiting Bodega Bay.More

Dined here for dinner and breakfast during a recent stay. Both meals were really good. Menu had great variety - especially for breakfast. Was really easy to do a takeout order. Burger was good, but the garlic fries were even better. Omelettes for breakfast were...delicious as well.More

This is our 10th year visiting. We had dinner on the patios at Drakes on both nights of our stay ( due to Covid there is no indoor dining). The first night we had the NY steak and chowder. The steak and accompaniments were nicely...done however it did not come with potatoes and so we added that on. The second night we had calamari, the little gem wedge salad, chowder and split a hamburger. Everything was prepared to our liking. We enjoyed the beautiful views. On our last visit, the food was not very good and we were disappointed with our meals. No attention to details as we were served burnt bread and charred broccolini. . (We later learned that they had some turnover). The current chef knows what she is doing and it shows. The attention to detail is spot on. Our servers were responsive and took good care of us. Our only request would be to bring back Jeff’s Mom’s chocolate cake. It is our favorite and we miss it so.More

We went for a nice family dinner and the salmon was amazingly fresh and tender. The ceviche appetizer was good too. It's a great restaurant for dinner but they also do a nice breakfast In the mornings.

We walked through the bar to get to the restaurant, the bar was gorgeous, a clubby environment, I want to go back and have a drink there in the future. We entered the restaurant, it was a little confusing, we crossed the restaurant and found...the hostess. We were promptly seated and just caught the end of the view before the sun went down. I loved the look and feel of the restaurant, it made me feel we were in a special place. Our waitress was good. I had the New York steak and it was very good. I especially liked the baby kale that came with it, I had never had it before and it was delicious. I ordered the rum cake for dessert but I wish it had been moister. I am really glad we ate here.More

The restaurant has been nice revamped and is very inviting with a big fireplace on one end. The menu didn’t feature any fish items except for salmon, but their salads and other dishes were delightful. Complimentary birthday dessert was a sweet surprise.

Frankly, I am not sure but it would not be my choice if I were a vegan and wanted a very good meal. You'd probably have to pick something of the menu that can be prepared easily as vegan. I was in Mendocino a while back... More
