It had been a while since my family and I have been to the Tides Wharf restaurant. We decided to stop by on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. While the restaurant was pretty busy, we had a great lunch and a wonderful view of the bay. I had a shrimp and avocado salad. Another person had crab cakes and clam... More

Best Fish Cioppino I've had in a very long time! We were able to relax after a great horseback ride on the Beach earlier in the morning with Chanslor Ranch. We were sore and tired and the waitress took very good care of us. Would highly recommend.

We've been coming here for over 20 years and this was probably our last visit. The food was just okay and the service was good, but the place has evolved over the years from being a nice place to dine to a tourist trap seeing how many times they can turn their tables each night. It's disappointing because we've typically... More

With one exception, the way over-priced mixed fried seafood platter could have been served at a Holiday Inn in Kansas - and probably with better service. The saving grace - the fabulous, juicy fried oysters! But they are not really worth the price and very poor service. Forget it

We recently had brunch at The Tides. I will start by saying the food was good. I had crab cake eggs Benedict which were full of crab and prepared very well. Others in my party were less happy with the crab omelet (too dry), but the clam chowder bread bowl got rave reviews. My hesitation about The Tides is the... More

Fresh oyster very good. Crab sandwich average. Squid steak with past and vegetables poor. Friendly waitress. Bay view but all windows looked like the hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Skip this place unless you have a gift certificate.

We had an expensive glass of wine in the bar and tried their calamari. It was overcooked and rubbery. Everything was overpriced. We probably will not go back.

You probably know Hitchcock filmed The Birds here. If you didn't - you will when you visit. Lots of memorabilia. Food was great - I had fish tacos and loved them. Good staff and a great spot. As it was foggy the view changed every two minutes. We liked a lot.

The service was okay. Our waitress only checked on us once, so I had to ask for refills of my drink. The chowder tasted like it came from a can. The fish was mushy. The prices were high. I wouldn't go again. The only nice thing was the view.

Overall disappointed. I am not from California so maybe five dollars for a small cup of latte is not considered high price to me extremely high. I am not even sure if they had more than one size of cup nothing else was offered to me. Latte OK. Way over priced. If you are A coffee drinker I would highly... More
