My friend and I were in Occidental CA. Wanting to go to Bodega Bay 1/2 drive for lunch at the Fisherman's Cove, the place that people rave about. Now I know why LOL. A really cute place with both indoor, patio seating and stools by...a counter to look out at the bay. We arrived around 3:30 PM and got super lucking with parking. A car was pulling out as we entered. When you walk in, it's like a country store, that serves food. Menu is on the wall along with a board with specials. You order and pay at the counter. You are given a number that your food get delivered to wherever you are seating. We decided on the Calamari and Chips, Dozen Raw Oysters and a couple of ice cold Lagunitas IPA. I tell you these oysters I had were so fresh, fairly big, creamy and delicious. The calamari, light, crispy and perfectly fried! We say at the window counter eating while admiring the beautiful view if Bodega Bay. Atmosphere: Off the dock seafood feel. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.More

Always hot and fresh. Every time we are in the area we stop here for lunch. Can be busy but worth it. Fish and Chips my favorite!

Located right across the street from the boats that catch the fish. It is that fresh. Not fancy, the store also sells fishing tackle, but so delicious. Food is served in baskets with plastic cutlery. But there is a reason why there is a lineup...out the door. The line goes quickly. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Wine and beer available too. Probably the freshest, tastiest, hottest and flakiest halibut we have ever had.More

After a morning of horseback riding, we opted for this little place based off the recommendations of TripAdvisor visitors. We were not disappointed! We had the crab nachos, halibut tacos, and some of their pickled carrots. Crab was plentiful on the nachos, and the tacos...were stuffed with large pieces of halibut. We enjoyed our meal on a picnic table outdoors, but they had seating indoors, as well.More

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. The owner was unbelievable rude to our family. I purchased drinks at fisherman’s cove and sat down outside to eat some food we bought at spuds next to fisherman’s cove. We had planned on getting some oysters...at fisherman’s cove. We did not see the sign that said no outside food. We get it, was a honest mistake on our end but the owner went full passive aggressive. He moved the condiment bucket from our table aggressively and gave my family a dirty look. It freighted my young daughter. Still trying to understand what had just happened the owner was loosing his mind pointing at a sign that said no outside food. Then he just walked away angry. A simple conversation would have been a way better approach. So I went to the front to apologize and to tell them our plan was to order more food from them. I was met with unbelievable rudeness after telling them so. So we kindly packed up in the middle of eating and having our drinks which we purchased at Fisherman’s cove. We moved over to Spuds and finished our meal. Ended up going to Hog island for our oysters, it was a great experience there.More

We stopped off here for lunch, and were pleased that we did so. We shared the crab sandwich and that was very tasty. There is also a good fish and chips option for kids. We also recommend that you order the garlic bread. Two dollars...for very tasty bread. Service is very basic. You order at the counter and pay immediately. They give you a number and your food is delivered to your table. No frills but the food was good. Free parking nearby.More

The best lobster roll I've ever had and I normally don't care for oysters but these were very good and a great homemade sauce served with them.

I would never give a 5 star rating to such a casual place (place your order and pay at the counter, take a number, try and find a table, then wait for them to bring it out), but the food here is so consistently good...that they definitely earn one from my wife and myself. We ate there twice on our recent stay in the Bodega Bay area and both times the food they turned out of their kitchen was excellent, cooked perfectly, even if it's served in a plastic basket and we had to bus our own table when we were done. Grab a beer or drink out of the cooler and you're set. And all at fair prices - reasonably, actually, by local standards.More

Omg the crab sandwich was loaded with fresh crab meat. The sauce came on the side. Cocktail sauce or a mayonnaise type sauce. The fish and chips were good too. I love the clam chowder. It was just the right consistency. Not too thick, not...too watery. Very very casual across the fishing boats and next to the crab pot storage area. They close at 6 pm so don’t miss it. They serve wine $9 per glass and a variety of beers.More

First time in Bodega Bay, and my spouse and I decided to stop here for a quick lunch. It was a casual, seafood-shack sort of place that seemed to be very popular with both tourists and locals. The food was really good. Halibut and chips...was one of the specials, and I couldn't resist because I LOVE halibut. It was as sweet and fresh as can be; breading was light and not greasy, and the fries were hot and possibly hand cut. The potatoes in the Portuguese style fish stew were a bit hard, but it was definitely a hearty and tasty soup. Spouse had the oyster po boy and enjoyed it very much. Service is friendly and the place had a pleasant waterfront ambience. Overall, we would certainly recommend it!More

We really enjoyed the fish and chips and would come back and get that again. We also tried the grilled oysters with chorizo but the oysters themselves didn’t taste good.

We drove close to 2 hours to get here before Noon to celebrate my birthday. We were welcome immediately as we entered the clean and spacious store, restaurant, and indoor dining area. White board specials and menus were above wall black boards, or the takeout...menus were easy to read to order. Loaded clam chowder, chunchy fried fish & chips, fanastic light battered/fried perfect calamari w/cold slaw, and generous Dungeness crab meat sandwich were awesome fresh and delicious. I got a cup of Fiorello's "Tony Spumoni" gelato which hit the spot. We couldn't ask for better weather and I immensely enjoyed our experience here for my birthday.More

Based on research on this site I found my way to Fisherman's Cove, and was I ever glad I did. It was a little more casual than I expected --OK with me. We tried the Halibut fish and chips--awesome--and the pulled pork sandwich--amazing. Service was...fast and food was way above my expectations. Nice people, fast service, and fishing tackle--what else could one want?More
