My husband and I were 2/5 total customers in the restaurant tonight. NBD, not looking for a lively evening just a good meal. Mentioned to the server it was my birthday. Again NBD, not looking for anything just explaining to the server why I ordered...a special glass of wine. Cioppino and gnocchi came, warm and satisfactory. What stood out was the chef visiting the table behind us 3 times to check in on their experience. He never once approached out table even though we were 3 feet away and could hear their entire conversation. In a restaurant with only 2 tables full, right next to each other, and the 5th patron sitting at bar you as the chef can’t be bothered to simply ask the other table how their experience is??????? Then I left to use the restroom, the server asked my husband if he wanted to order desert and if he did let them know to put a candle in it. Really??? I am not a desert fan, but there are 5 PEOPLE in your entire restaurant and you can’t spare a scoop of ice cream for a birthday? You have to ask if we will order a desert and then request a candle???? So after my husband steps out to retrieve the car so I don’t have to walk tomorrow I approach the manager and explain my perspective. First response is chef didn’t have a clean official jacket so he didn’t feel comfortable speaking to tables. When challenged - because he was comfortable speaking to the table right next to us. The ONLY other table with people seated at it. Well, between you and me that is his wife and her friend. So he is comfortable speaking to them. O. M. G. So on a night when you have 5 customers, One who is celebrating a birthday, the priority Is the wife of the chef? Ok then. Here’s your bad review. Reset your priorities and put the customer first.More

This is definitely the off season and mere days after the area was evacuated because of the fires. Service was very nice. Everything is nicely prepared on the menu. You cannot go wrong. At the end on the dessert menu I mentioned “no tiramisu?” The...service staff said unfortunately not. But low and behold, they disappeared and it magically appeared. It was not the best tiramisu, but hey Bay View found it. You will enjoy the Bay View.More

This was our best dining experience in 3 days at Bodega Bay. Amazing food prepared by a great chef at this charming restaurant with nice view of the bay. Fabulous food, attentive staff, beautifully appointed dining area, bar and terrace. Highly recommend the specials of...the day. Chose tomato caprese salad as appetizer...fresh melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella on beautiful tomatoes. Entree selections were pappardelle with braised bolognese and crab, lobster stuffed local fish. Don’t miss an opportunity to enjoy this special place.More

Our first visit here. The restaurant is impeccably clean, with white tablecloths, a fresh rose at each table, lovely art work, and china which has been carefully selected to be appropriate for it's function. The hostess, or manager, was very pleasant and friendly. Tables on...the West end have a view of the bay and there are a few outdoor tables in that area. My wife selected veal piccata, and lemon sauce, with spinach and mashed potatoes, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered Cotoletta alla Milanese, which is breaded thin slice of veal fried in butter and topped with arugula and shaved parmigiano. The latter was a generous portion of veal, indeed. Delicious. We thought we'd splurge and we each ordered sorbet for dessert, expecting the usual "dab". Instead, we each received three generous scoops of three different flavored sorbet, topped with a small fresh flower. This lovely place has DETAIL, DETAIL in everything we saw and consumed.More

We had a lovely table by the window and watched the sunset over the bay. Our waitress Holi was the best!! She helped to make our dinner and my surprise engagement very special. Not to mention the food was excellent.

Shrimp cocktails, filet mignon, a deep mellow wine and creme brûlée, What more could you ask for? So that's me settled. My partner was equally pleased with his fish and chips and a share of my dessert. The service was friendly and efficient.

It feels like a place that's reaching too hard. There was live piano and a nice enough ambiance, and a menu that sounded delicious. The food doesn't live up to their ambition. 2 of 3 mains we ordered we bland and significantly overcooked. The prices...were silly for what you get. Had lunch the following day at the more casual Wharf restaurant across the street, and it was significantly better food at a slightly more reasonable price.More

The full breakfast is free if you are staying at the Inn of Tides, and is very nice. The fresh seafood we had for dinner was excellent.

There was excellent variety in the seafood and some nonfish items for those who can not do fish. A wine list that offer a selection from local wineries and international venders. Service was excellent. A thoroughly delightful meal.
