Every dish is made to perfection. Using local garden vegee's and herbs, this chef deserves a 5 star Michelon rating. Yet the atmosphere is so relaxed and at the same time fronted by a most beautiful Harbor view. With" sea dogs" barking in the background,...Gourmet au Bay is so authentic that all others seem like 2nd degree relatives. I am so enthused about the gourmet food and Bay view, that I rate this as the new best restaurant I have eaten in this year. Dr Jerry ButrimovitzMore

Lovely setting right on Bodega Harbor within close walking distance from the Bodega Bay marina and RV park. They have a patio for seating, but the wind is strong there. However, their Covid 19 precautions were very different from other restaurants in the area, in...that one had to order and pay at the kiosk OUTSIDE prior to being seated (I didn't like that). Because there were several people behind us, we ordered way too fast -- not having time to peruse the selections adequately. The staff all wore masks (hooray) but the employees working were stretched so thin everyone seemed on edge. The view was lovely, but the food was mediocre. I ate only a small part of my flatbread pizza; it was greasy.More

Went here on a Sunday, mid-afternoon. The patio was comfortable. The clam chowder was $12 a cup and served in to-go cups and we were given packets of plastic utensils. Before we could even get into the soup - which had ingredients minced so small...they were almost indistinguishable, entrees came, one at a time for the three of us with the appetizer coming last. The entrees at $22 each were tiny and served randomly! While each came on hot skillet type dishes, we still had only the plastic utensils. The view of the harbor was not so good as the plexiglass windows were really cloudy. The staff was truly polite but for three people having a late lunch with plastic utensils and courses all coming whenever, $140 something was ridiculous. So - price was terrible, food okay - really small portions and service unskilled. It all seemed lazy using Covid as an excuse. Lastly, one of the two restrooms was designated "employee only" making the only other for mixed sex in the two stalls.More

We had a wonderful bowl of clam chowder to start off our lunch. You order at the door and then they seat you so as to work with Covid guidelines. We really enjoyed the crab cakes with lemon aioli. Some of the best I have...ever had. Cooked very well. The salad was perfect for sharing. Add a couple of beers and we had a great lunch in Bodega Bay. Wished I was hungry enough to order pizza too as that was also on the menu. Not only do they have beers on tap from local breweries but they also had a good selection of wines you could choose from. They sell by the bottle too so I was able to pick up one of my favorites that is not sold in too many places.More

I almost feel bad giving them a poor rating because the service and staff was outstanding! The food was a different story and very expensive. My husband and I ordered crab sliders which were very expensive for very little food. They also were not good...at all. I actually started with a Caesar salad and could not eat it because it was way too fishy tasting (also came with sardines as a topper). I made my husband eat my food but was starving so I ordered a flat bread pizza which was actually very good! I would stick with that! The view was nice and the wine was pretty delicious as well. If this restaurant tweaked their menu and either dropped their prices or gave you just a little bit more food for your money it would be a home run!!More

The food was very tasty, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his salmon w/veggies and my flat bread was good. The restaurant did everything correctly in regard to the covid rules, the owner/manager took our order and was very pleasant and warm. It took no time to...receive our food. I do think the prices were high for the amount of food served but this is a "tourist" area. However, the artichoke appetizer was very skimpy...though yummy!More

We had the most wonderful dinner experience here. Pretty views, pleasant staff. No complaints... wish we discovered it sooner in our stay.

A restaurant that has a wine store, from which you can pick a wine is a very good idea. Even better is the innovative offerings that they have developed and offer at this restaurant.

Try the artichoke hearts, they are to die for!!! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. We sat on the patio, wonderful service and food.
