The food was very good and the service was good. However, they changed the amount that I put down for tip and added a dollar to the amount. Didn't think that was proper!

Visiting Big Bear Lake and read an article that said this intimate restaurant is frequented by locals. So we decided to give it a try. The staff of father and daughter were very busy waiting tables, greeting guests, and making the drinks. They were as attentive and helpful as you could expect with the number of guests they had. The... More

My family and I spent the afternoon in Big Bear on June 11th. I made advanced reservations because the website recommended it. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Diane. The food was awesome, well priced and homemade! The garlic fritters were excellent!! We had a wonderful time and we just loved Diane!! I highly recommend... More

Sweet Basil is a quant restaurant ajacent to Alley Oops Bowling Alley. The food is all made from scratch and it is mmm...delicious! The staff is very friendly and the wines that they offer are nice as well. It is a small restaurant, so please remember to make a reservation ahead of time during the busy Holiday weekends. I would... More

The Bistro is a small off the road restaurant, But have to say without a doubt one of the best meals I've had in all of Big Bear Lake! Service was outstanding. Prices are fair for fine Italian dining. I ordered the special of the day, the short rib ravioli with a parmesan cream sauce,, melted in my mouth and... More

I wish we were staying in Big Bear longer so we could eat here again. Pleasant staff. Prices were reasonable.

Have been here several times with friends and family and I love it! The food is delicious and I love the atmosphere. I love their French dips and they have many other wonderful dishes! I have always received excellent service. You don't want to miss out!

We went for our anniversary and the food was almost all bad. First, they served tasteless stale bread, then undercooked doughy garlic fritters, then undercooked weird tasting filet mignon. I had forced myself to eat half of the filet as to not complain. but later, I ended up getting the worse food poisoning of my life! What a way to... More

This place was very good. I had the egg plant. My girlfriend had the pasta. My son had a steak. I sampled all of it. Everyone was great. I suggest this place to anyone

My wife and I were in Big Bear on a little get-away for a couple nights. We saw on the Sweet Basil Bistro's website that they were open until 9pm on Sunday nights. We called at 7pm to make sure they'd be open to take the two of us at 8pm. No one answered the phone and we got the... More
