If you're not a garlic fan, stay away! The menu is amazing and the service even better. Hubby had shrimp Alfredo, which was perfect and I had artichoke ravioli with creamy gorgonzola sauce and pine nuts. Wow! There's also one in San Francisco and both are wonderful!

Like garlic? This is the place to go. OMG, the food here is pretty amazing. From the bread to whatever entree you order to the dessert "garlic ice cream". Service was equally incredible!! The only thing I didn't like was that it was a little dark for me ( lighting wise) . Other than that, it was cozy, intimate, fun... More

I visited this restaurant years ago with a friend prior to discovering Lawry's. Neither of us were impressed. We both ordered the prime rib expecting it to be dripping with garlicky goodness. We left extremely disappointed.

We had a group of nine friends and family for an evening of fun. Everyone chose a different appetizer and main course. While the garlic theme is fun and prevalent throughout, the food at The Stinking Rose is OK but certainly nothing spectacular. The service was pretty sad with waiters not knowing where the various courses were to be placed... More

We had Christmas dinner here and I would echo some of the comments from an earlier reviewer. The Bagna Calda was indeed a disappointment, it was little more than garlic floating in butter server in a dish. Both my wife and I had the Prixe Fixe menu and for the price of $30 it was a very poor offering. The... More

My son and granddaughter treated me to lunch here, in celebration of my 70th birthday. He ordered the garlic chicken which was also enjoyed by his daughter. I ordered the garlic portobello stake, and really liked the preparation. We all enjoyed our dessert: garlic ice cream, which comes with a dark chocolate and caramel topping. Even if you are not... Funky restaurant nicely decorated with tables under individual awnings. Pleasant efficient and knowledgable waiting staff. Garlic everywhere! Liked the garlic hats too. Excellent prime rib. Would definitely return!

Our waitress was awesome but the food not so. We had heard so much about the Stinking Rose from friends in San Francisco. So, when we saw there was one near us in LA we really wanted to check it out. First we got the bagna calda which we were told is a must get appetizer. It's garlic swimming in... More

The dining experience was very good. I am not a fan of eating a lot of garlic, but it was my colleague's turn to pick a restaurant for Thanksgiving. She loves garlic. I was in for a surprise. The traditional dinner was superb. I thought I was going to have left overs, but the plate was a little skimpy. We... More

As a lover of garlic I had always wanted to check this place out and I finally had the chance to do it last night! You can literally smell this restaurant from a block away! The smell of garlic simply lingers in the L.A. air. The restaurant offers valet parking and there is also parking on the street. I would... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
