Nothing new here, but good old fashioned prime rib. Older crowd looking for the perfect juicy meat and yorkshire pudding to mop it up with. One will either find it classic and comfortable or stale atmosphere with food that satisfies, but does not tantalize. Eye of the beholder...

This place has hands down the best prime rib in the city!!! It is in their name after-all and they do not let you down. Always an excellent experience.

Think of a humongous, staid and under-designed wedding hall in the middle of nowhere, packed to the rim. Add to it a disciplined army of oddly attired willful servers, and men clad in white lugging big metallic containers loaded with precooked lukewarm large quantities of prime rib beef, spinach, corn and other sides that sits in there for a long... Here the restaurant is set up for the tourist trade in large numbers or a middle class family celebrating a birthday. When my salad plate was picked up the busboy took the used knife off the plate and set it on the table. I noticed the waitress did the same thing with my eating companion. The menu given to me... This was a true disappointment. We dined with colleagues in this that was on many sites one of the best, traditional and established steak houses in Beverly Hills. There is no doubt there is establishment being the restaurant there since 1938, but the glorious times are now lost and there is more the feeling of being in a tourist trap... More

This is my fourth or fifth time at Lawry's. My father would go to Lawry's when he would go on business trips to the West Coast back in the 50s, so the venue always had a certain cachet. The setting is impressive, but dowdy at the same time. Our party of eight was quickly seated -- we had a reservation;... More

This is the flagship restaurant in the chain. Prime rib melts in your mouth. Spinach is flavor full and smooth. Strawberry shortcake is also the best I've eaten. Old world Elegance at its finest. Another guest stated it deserves 5+.

I've been going to Lawry's for decades (Beverly Hills old and new location, Chicago and Las Vegas) and it remains a traditional elegant place to dine for prime rib. While they offer fish and Ribeye steak, their traditional Lawry's cut prime rib is terrific, as is the tossed salad (ask for no beets if that is not your thing) and... More

Lawry's was an integral part of my California experience. Wish they had one closer to NY. Absolutely love their creamed corn. My friends always order the beef bowl. I usally order the California cut. Tears of joy with every bite of the prime rib. They also introduced me to my favorite Australian red wine which pairs perfectly.

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
