A close friend took us here during our recent visit to LA. Prime Rib is what you go here for and it is amazing. They carve your choice right at your table and serve you from a custom cart. The whole process is part of the experience. Get there early or make reservations, this place gets busy fast.

Attended a dinner in the private room with 107 other invitees for a 50th anniversary party. Passing through the bar into our area I saw a massive serving piece filled with meatballs with a large container of potato chips which were obviously made on site. The appetizers passed just for the private party before dinner were tiny sliders of turkey... More

I haven't eaten here in years but decided to dine again last week. The prime rib was wonderful and the creamed corn was spectacular. The prime rib is served table side and you select your cut and add ons. The famous spinning salad, mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding are all included with your meal but trust me and order the... We walked in not knowing anything about the restaurant. We were meeting family and they picked. First impression was... dated. But clean and friendly service. Then we were taken to our table and it all fell into place. The restaurant has been there (and across the street for a minute) since the 30s and why change a good thing? It's... More

This is best prime rib I've ever tasted. According to our food server, our stake was aged for 28days and cooked to perfection. I had mine medium, and it melts in your mouth! Their salad that comes with the stake is also fresh and excellent. The place was truly "fancy" and luxurious. They even asked us if we where celebrating... More

Old reliable seldom changes its menu; and that's a good thing that repeat customers can rely on. From their unique spinning salad to their delicious Prime Rib, Lawrys can't be beat. The old saying "you have to try it just once" applies here to the legendary Beef Bowl. My wife and I both took the plunge and were not disappointed... More

We had dinner on a Monday evening at Lawrys - I hadn't realised how large the restaurant area was, but understand why it is popular. The spinning salad on ice is a very nice touch at the table as were the chilled salad forks. The carver was very impressive as was the mobile carving station. I had the aged prime... More

My husband and I were in the area on business and since we had eaten at the Lawrys in Las Vegas thought we would try this restaurant as well. My husband ordered prime rib and I ordered salmon. They brought his prime rib 10 minutes before my salmon was even brought to me. Once my salmon was brought to the... More

This place serves traditional American prime ribs. Highly recommend the Lawry's ribeye with classic sauce. Delicious and all! Side dishes are ok; I recommend the creamy Spanish and fried onions :) Personally, i don't really like the asparagus. Besides the amazing meat, desserts are another highlight of the meal! Recommend the cream burlee and English trifle (like a raspberry cake).... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
