If there is a Lawry's in town, we will be there....the Beverly Hills restaurant is as good as all the others....great service, wonderful prime rib, creamy corn, and huge Idaho baked potato....the only problem is that there is never room left for dessert!

My favorite venue for prime rib in LA was closed (Musso and Frank) so we ventured over to Lawry's. First, the prime rib was great, the house spinning salad ok and the cream corn tasted like it was from a can. But we came for the prime rib. Next, the staff was friendly but they all seemed to be part of... More

Most delicious meal I've ever had! We've heard of the place for years but also heard it is expensive. Finally for my big birthday my dear wife suggested we try it. A bit of a drive, but well worth the excursion. Nice decorations, wonderful ambiance, great service and most important spectacular food! I ordered the "Diamond Jim" when the special... More

I have been here many times. There is a level of service which is normally quite high. Well something went terribly wrong last night. We were there to celebrate a wedding and a birthday. Our spirits going in were very high. We rarely saw our server, another one would stop by every now and then. She said she was sharing... More

Every time we visit Los Angeles this is a “must go there” restaurant for us. Very few restaurants around the world have such wonderful beef and always maintain the standards. And with the meat carved from the trolley at your table, Lawry’s is as much theatre as it is restaurant – a marvellous night out by any standards. Their Diamond... More

We always feel so special when we dine at Lawry's. The waiters are so attentive and courteous. The food is so superb. We've been loyal customers for over 20 years and we live 50+ miles away. We started our meal with the wonderful Lawry's mixed green salad. We always order the prime rib, Lawry's and California cuts , mashed potatoes,... More

A specialized prime rib restaurant since 1938!! How could we pass this up. What a great experience. Like a time capsule we felt back in a time where service was personal, the ambiance felt like 1929, the experience was perfect. Our waitress was dressed in a throw back outfit that looked perfect for the time era of the room we... More

Our party of 15 arrived early and enjoyed a few beers at the bar together with the complimentary chips. We were seated on time at the center of the impressive dining room, and our waitress with a charming Irish accent took very good care of us. The wine was good and the prime rib was delicious. They said the Lawry's... More

We always eat at least one prime rib meal on visits to the USA since it is not available at home. We think we know what is good, and previously favoured the House of Prime Rib in San Francisco. This place claims to be the "original 1938" Prime Rib and purveyor of seasoned salt and pepper. Served by "Mr Held"... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
