Still a nice place for dinner but its not cheap and we had to send the steak back, a bit ironic in a grill. The wine list is great. its an old classic that needs to watch its game.

This is a place I go to about once a month - it's good, not great. A bit on the loud side, but it is exciting. The Sunday dinner special is amazing though. For under $60 you get a big piece of prime rib and all the trimmings. Yorkshire pudding, veg, potato. I do recommend the Hendricks Gin soaked cucumbers... More

Locals love the Grill on the Alley. The food is superb and the service perfect. The Grill is not large and books fast. Always make a reservation, especially for dinner. If you can ask for a booth because it is much more comfortable and the noise level is not high, but can be a little annoying if you are seated... More

A very enjoyable meal which was served in true american style with a great deal of effort. Its a well known place and will need to be booked in advance. Try to reserve a booth if you can.

One of my most favorite restaurants. A must every time I am in the Los Angeles area. Great food, great drinks, great service, great ambiance. Simply great. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable evening.

I did sit in a booth, which is the way to dine there. It's much more private and easier to hear your companions. But regardless where you sit, the service and food are wonderful. My friend had shrimp cocktail and a NY Strip Steak. I had a lobster salad. We both had perfect vodka martinis. Wonderful atmosphere and great attention... More

Every time i am in Beverly Hills, i go to The Grill for dinner. The food is constantly consistent, always delicious, and the service is top notch! Real old time waiters, that know how to service their guests and have fun! Everybody knows everybody there...and there is a real sense of family. I highly recommend the Garlic Cheese Bread and... I was staying nearby, wandered in feeling like a steak...however sea bass special seemed to good to pass, I first had seared sashimi tuna, enough for 2, but wonderful presentation. The restaurant was a combo of Sardi's NY feel and Coda in Melb. (As its on an alley so down a level.) Very busy but such professional service by women... More

This is probably the predecessor of the actual social media. Here everybody knows everybody. The food is mostly less important, but very decent. The service for a foreigner is not superb. It probably is for the locals. Quite an experience.

We always enjoy dining at the Grill because the restaurant is in a great location and it is smaller and they have a tremendous wait staff. If are offering the Soft Shell Crab or the Pot Pie I would highly recommend both dishes.

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
