We were in Hollywood on vacation and I have dreamed of going to Spago for a very long time. We needed to change our reservation time by 30 minutes due to being pressed for time. When I called Spago and spoke with Amanda she assured me it was no problem. When I hung up the phone I looked at our... More

Went there expecting a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Instead, I got decent food, great service, and a hefty check. Honestly, my endive salad was soggy, and my omelet (1 of 4 vegetarian options) was just that: an omelet. I don't get why this place is considered so important (did I hear 2 Michelin stars?!) While the service is nice and the ambiance... More

When you get to California rarely as folks from the Midwest, scoring a reservation at Spago is a treat. I dined here solo once. This time my wife could come along and we had a great evening. We are not Beverly Hills fancy, cannot spend the money some can but we were treated warmly and wonderfully by all. The atmosphere... More

We have eaten at this restaurant on every visit to LA over recent years- but on tonight's experience have no wish to return. Made to wait for ages, standing up and not even offered a drink. In the meantime cronies of the staff with later reservations were shown to their seats immediately by the toadying reception. After 10 minutes had... More

Extra special birthday dinner was had with my family at this still amazing Beverly Hills spot. New restaurants come and go, but this Wolfgang Puck restaurant still serves to exceed expectations. Because this is LA we saw people in jeans and hoodies, as well as more formal, dressy evening attire. The crowd runs the gamut, as does the food--a little... More

Outstanding tasting menu - 8 courses that was more like 13, including a tour of the kitchen where we were served 'lobster corn dogs' and overall excellent. We loved the amuse bouche and almost everything - the lobster claw with radish and yuzo meringue was amazing but a small shell and the lamb, though good, was slightly overcooked for my... More

My wife and I had dinner this evening at Spago. Our first visit. With out question one of the best dining experiences we have had. Service is impeccable. The entire wait staff, including the Management Team, are at work the entire night. No request is a problem. The mushroom soup taster is amazing. Bread selection and quality is fabulous. My... More

If I could have given this restaurant a rating of zero that would be too high. They refused to accommodate a customer with a nut allergy. We explained that having nuts in the kitchen was not an issue, but that the meal for this diner should be made in a clean pan with clean utensils since it was being made... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
