This place is a winner! We have been going there to enjoy great Italian dishes for a few years now - the vodka pasta is a must try, but even simpler plates like arrabbiata and bolognese are spectacular! To be escorted by a glass of Malbec and to finish off the melody of taste, a chocolate tart is fabulous! A... More

Famed musician, Sting (one of my personal favorites) sang of “sending out an SOS” in his song “Message In a Bottle.” So for all of you lovers of La Dolce Vita (the Sweet Life) California Style, I am sending out an SOS to wine, dine and refine your life at Via Alloro, one of the many superb restaurants by the... I was disappointed with this restaurant. Everything seemed to be precooked and food came out so quickly I'm not sure how! My salad was freezing cold so that was prepared long in advance and left in the fridge until needed. The waiters are sloppy and the place is below advantage. It's also expensive for what you get. Give it a... More

The Drago brothers have created and run some of the best and most popular restaurants throughout Los Angeles. When they took over this beautiful space, hopes were very high. Unfortunately, the food doesn't measure up. Tanino Drago mans the kitchen here and has failed to deliver the food and experience of the other family owned places. The menu is extensive... More

We came here with a massive group and everyone raved anout the food. Everything we had was superb. Considering the size of our group (40+) the service was also good. The food here was really worth it..highly recommend!

We love Via Alloro but alas the allure of $$$ in Beverly Hills has ruined the experience. We had an early reservation, on a Saturday night and asked for a quiet table. Management has decided to allow toddlers and restaurant was symphony of crying babies from each corner in the dinning room. Spending $200 a couple, all in with wine,... More

Last night we were just tired and went to Via Alloro, a neighborhood place. This is a more casual fine dining Italian restaurant with a full bar . It has a large menu and I chose a veal parmesan dish-the best I've had. Not too much sauce nor cheese. Very tender veal, too. My husband had a pizza on thin... More

Moderately priced but reliably prepared and presented on a timely manner by friendly, attentive waiters. I was pleasantly floored by the huge menu. There is something for everyone here. It is a rather large, spacious restaurant, but well-designed with upper mezzanines and main floor with well-placed naturally looking dividers so you never feel the restaurant is large - it feels... The food may be good, but nothing came out at the same time. We told them it was a special anniversary (67 years!!) and asked for a desert, which was just ordinary. They did not make the occasion special at all and very disappointing.

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
