This high-energy creole restaurant on Berkeley's colorful Shattuck Ave, close to the University of California campus, is ideal for a special dinner with friends or family. With a wide selection of dishes--from wild mushroom jambalaya and penne pasta to voodoo shrimp and fried catfish--washed down with Louisiana beer, there is something here for everyone. The servers are fast, attentive and... More

My friend and I caught up at Angleine's last weekend. She had the catfish with hush puppies and I had Brussels sprouts. We split those so we had enough room for dessert. The lunch was great and the dessert was to die for. Make sure you make it there if you're visiting Berkeley.

Continues to be one of my favorite places in Bay Area. Authentic NOLA style food complete with great presentation and service. Love the etouffee appetizer and the hush puppies to get started. The Po'Boys are great either fried chicken or shrimp are both good. Really flavorful gumbo and jambalaya for those fabulous southern Cajun flavors. I really like the Fried... More

Service was super! We had a mixed grill (shrimps were oh-so-fab) and all of it were so rich in flavours and literally melted in our mouths. The whole atmosphere took you away from Shattuck Avenue to a dreamy place somewhere else. Make sure to reserve a table or show up early, place will be packed after 6.30 PM.

We arrived for dinner just before 6 PM and were seated immediately. The food was good the service was prompt and the atmosphere was pleasant. The baby back ribs were quite good, a generous portion. Although the sauce was a little A little on the sweet side for my taste. But I scraped it off and enjoyed the ribs very... More

My husband and I wanted to try something different and found Angeline's through TripAdvisor. We ordered crawfish etouffee, country ranch salad, and the fried catfish with hush puppies. The salad was simple, iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, bits of bacon, topped with a couple of toasted bits, and the perfect amount of ranch dressing mixed throughout. The crawfish etouffee was seasoned... More

This is a copy of true Louisiana style cooking, Crawfish were frozen Asian imports. Grateful for the crystal hot sauce on every table though, I needed it.

The place is a relatively large restaurant. The appetizers where OK and also the mains. No one was really exited. Probably baby ribs is the best dish and a huge portion. The experience was fine but not more.

THE place to go for authentic Louisiana style food. It's all good, but save room for the beignets! Not too expensive, but not budget, either. Good value for your money.
