Location and contact

Inspired by the artisanal ingredients and simple, rustic flavors of his native Tohoku region, chef-owner Shotaro Kamio blends the obscure with the familiar for surprisingly extraordinary tastes. Craft beer, wine and sake. Seasonal, local farm-sourced ingredients. Comfortable, casual indoor and patio garden seating. Iyasare-Berkeley... be healed.

I met friends here last night for dinner and was very impressed. Drinks were tasty and creative. Excellent sake. Veg tempura was really tasty. Seaweed salad was outstanding. Ramen noodles are not to be missed.

My friend and I had lunch on a Sunny Sunday at this restaurant. We have been to O Chame which was the previous restaurant located on this site. It was a totally different interpretation of Japanese food. The restaurant decor is understated and calming. There...More

I went to this establishment the other rainy day without a reservation at approximately 12pm and was told that there would be an hour and a half wait. To say I was upset, would most definately be an understatement. I returned today, after making the...More

Can't say enough good things about this restaurant (my first visit). Loved the ambiance of warm dark wood, relatively quiet, service was excellent, very helpful and we got a lot of great advice. Not an inexpensive meal but the quality of the ingredients and the...More

On Monday nights, this place serves its lunch menu - hence, dinner for the price of lunch. We booked for 5:30 p.m. when the restaurant opens. As opening time approached, a line started to form. Those without reservations were turned away. We ordered several items...More
