The meal my wife and I had here was not adventurous, with our both settling on traditional noodle dishes (Pad Thai for her, Pad See-Ew for me), but the meals were well prepared, the service was attentive, and the prices were good. We'd go back.

Berkeley Thai House is a hidden gem Thai restaurant near South Gate of UC Berkeley (Telegraph area). The ifood is not pricey at all. Service is great, and the food is fast. UC staffs always come during lunch, and students during dinner. Garlic Pepper Pork, Spicy Duck, and Pineapple Fried Rice are highly recommend.

Thai House is located just a couple of blocks off of the south side of campus. The restaurant features a spacious patio, which is elevated above street level and makes the outdoor seating area just great. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The ordered Khao Na Ped (Roast Duck on Rice) was very fatty, and the whole dish was just bland.... More

We are on our west coast road trip with last stop in Berkeley for three nights. My soon to be 9 year old son requested Thai food- his second experience. Not to disappoint we found Berkeley Thai House. Our birthday party of 5 morphed to 11 with addition of local friends. The food and service was great. We started with... More

Went in for a quick dinner with a colleague. Thank goodness I have a teeny bladder; otherwise, I might not have seen the pink plastic am/fm radio toilet paper holder in the ladies' room. What a treat. I couldn't get it to play, but I sure loved seeing it!

We used to love this place when my husband attended school here in the 80's so we were so excited to return!! The rice came in a cute tin pot with a lot of rice so that was good but the Pad Thai which is a staple of any Thai restaurant was unedible! It was so sticky and the flavor... More

My wife and I came here with our two year old daughter. The food was delicious and fresh and felt authentic. More importantly, they went out of their way to accommodate our toddler, evening providing more pineapple when she picked all the pineapple out of the fried rice. The cost was also extremely reasonable. Highly recommend to anyone with a... More

During a recent college campus tour my son and I were tired and just looking for a restaurant were we could sit and kill some time. All of the restaurants we found were more like fast food shops where you order at a counter and then take your food to your table. While great in some situations and presumably less... More

We happened upon the Thai House as we strolled from campus and the wonderful aromas drew us in. The lunch specials are very reasonable. My husband enjoyed the spicy duck and I savored the mushroom chicken. The meal came with a sweet potato filled fried wonton, a lovely little salad spiced with basil, and a wedge of orange. It was... Great food, goes well beyond Pad Thai. Food served with a sauce serving plate to add spices to suite your taste. Outdoor patio is a few feet above the street and landscaped to provide a bit of privacy from those walking by. Service very prompt and friendly.
