This is one of my go to places for breakfast. The simplicity of the chorizo con juevos and a cafe de olla out on the patio on a sunny AM after tennis is the best!

The food is average, the wait long and remarkably it was very busy. I had one of the specials on the board which was dep fried and lacking in taste. Eat somewhere else.

Counter service and can be crowded. Expensive for what you get, but the quality is good. Favorites are the Tacos de Pescado (served Baja style), Al Pastor and Lengua. They've been out of the Fish Tacos TWICE in two visits in the last month - how hard can it be to keep fish in the house? They also get orders... More

This is the place to take the kids to lunch and dinner any day but especially the weekend. Menu is very fresh and friendly; very good Mexican food. Nice to sit outside on a sunny day an plow thru the food

On our way home from San Francisco, we decided to stop off in Berkeley to window shop along 4th Street. We asked one of the retailers for a good place to get something to eat. She suggested Tacubaya. We stopped by to get something to eat. The line to order food was to the door. The line moved quick. Our... More

Been going here since it opened and have never looked back! Quality of the food doesn't seem to have changed over the years -- still good!

For an "order at the counter" type of place, this is very good. The portions are not that big and everything is ala carte, so you have to order several items to fill you up and it's not a cheap meal when all is said and done. But it is worth a little more considering that the food is very... More

Never had a bad meal here. Always fresh and fast with good portion sizes. Great place if you want to share with friends but go early because it gets crowded.

I go there a lot ( I live in Berkeley). To begin from the least relevant: it is on 4th street. Which is a very lively shopping area ( the presence of an Apple Store indicates the kind of shopping involved). The food is excellent. The only better Mexican food I ate in the US was at Oakland's Dona Tomas,... More
