Berkeley has a number of burger places but Bongo is still probably my top choice. The combination of a burger-fries-drink for under $10 with good ingredients is very hard to beat. Note that there are multiple locations; the one I frequent is on Euclid on the north side of campus. I've found by eating at the one on Center Street... More

Sure you can get fries and soda and a burger..but you can get tabuleh or a falafel wrap that's great or a black bean burger. Enjoyed this quick stop for lunch on a Sunday . Right near campus and full of granola types. Delicious and not super expensive for casual dining .

The inside of bongo burger looks exactly like most of the other Classic dining places in US... It might look extremely essential, definitely not fancy looking... Even food-wise this concept is respected...The day that I went, I could choose my burger just among 3 main options...they do have vegan burgers, though. I picked a normal classic bongo burger... Meat was... More

Apart from the famed burgers, this small eatery serves tasty plates. The chicken plate with fresh Tabouleh was very refreshing. Unfortunately, no refills, so food = OK, drink = wanna more. Also good to observe the street-folk begging for food/change/attention/whatever just in front of the store.

Aside from the usual middle eastern menu there is freshly squeezed orange juice and tasty French fries. The lamb dishes, hummus, etc. are all good. Its a quick, easy, tasty, inexpensive meal. And there are a few outdoor tables.

I thought the cheeseburger was great on a toasted sesame bun. It stayed together and didn't all fall apart like some buns do. You get a choice of cheese (I got cheddar). The patty tasted good, cooked well. I got the combo which came with fries (nice crispy, salty) and a small drink. My only complaints are that you have... More

Very typical American burger place with a few options available (like lamb and others). It is worth the money.

Berkeley is a destination for reasonable prices for food- because it's a college town- and unfortunately sometimes the quality is compromised. Bongo Burger is a Berkeley family business for many years and they have not compromised their quality over the years. It's a casual joint and main destination for students - even though I am far beyond my college years-... More

These gourmet burger combos for under $10 are hard to beat anywhere... while the fries au Are only mediocre, the burgers make up for it and grueling Taye state of the art... I recommend calling in advance because it takes a bit for your order to be ready and they make calls a priority.
