went to eat as we were looking for another place that was closed and we saw this place and just went in. the onion soup was real French style (ON wine and not WITH wine) but a bit strong, my soup of the day was good. the main courses were OK. quite expensive for what we add.

The place was packed and noisy, which gave it a parisian atmosphere. There was live music and a nice menu with three courses and wine.

on bastille day this restaurant offers a special prix fixe (two choices in each category as well as vegetarian options) and live music...it is a bit noisy but very celebratory (although this night a bit sober after the news from France). Food is excellent and generous, music is very French, service is attentive. We go here every year on bastille... More

Perfect food, perfect service, perfect price, perfect location. We tried grilled artichoke, lamb and salmon. Vine also perfect.

Very good service! Food very good. Must have had the nicest table in the restaurant - really enjoyed my visit. Overall, having said how wonderful the food and service was, I think my take-away was how comfortable and easy this place made me feel.

For fabulous authentic French food, Bistro Liaison is a must. They offer a pre-fixe theatre menu for early birders but we opted for the a la carte menu - they have fabulously prepared PEI mussels in a white wine broth that is quite wonderful. A friend and I shared their cheese and bacon tart - a little rich but perfection... More

A neighborhood favorite for Berkelely folks, who appreciate the warm service and generous helpings of homey French - California fare at reasonable prices.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary. Easy to find and no problem with parking. Service was very attentive and friendly. Both our appetizers were very good (mussels were fresh and Escargot was perfect), my wife has the stuffed sole and loved it, I had the sweetbreads and they were a bit chewy. Without a doubt order the profiteroles for dessert, some of... More

This is a popular bistro, so reservations are a good idea. We stopped for lunch on a weekday and they were not crowded, but we heard that they get busy. The atmosphere is typical French bistro and the wait staff is charming and efficient. Some of the items on the menu are just good, such as the trout and the... More

My wife and I went there for lunch. She had the steamed mussels and I had the French onion soup - both were excellent and most adequate for us for lunch. When you are inside, you feel like you are in Paris. The owner was present and greeted us. Parking is a problem, but it's a short walk to and... More
