My first visit to "Comal" with friends that live in the area. Wow, was so delicious it left me wanting more even though I was already full. Very tasty margaritas as well. Service was great too.
Visited Comal on a business trip with a group of colleagues one evening and very much enjoyed the experience. The cocktails were creative. The appetizers, chips, salsas were good. The tacos were tasty. Love seeing an establishment using fresh ingredients, grills, and providing an enjoyable...More
Best Chips & Salsa I've had in the Bay Area! Margarita's were very good and the food was outstanding! Started with Jicama & Cucumber (very good, just the right amount of spice) followed by the best Grilled Sweet Corn! For my main dish, I had...More

The spit roasted chicken was delish as was the shrimp ceviche and beer- marinated carne asadas. Would recommend this restaurant without...More

Comal is a largish, informal, pretty good Mexican restaurant in the central business district (such as it is) of Berkeley. The menu is fairly simple, the overall quality of the food is very good. Full bar, reasonable range of beers, lots of mezcal. This is...More
