We went at lunch time and had an appetizer lunch. Everything was delicious. Shrimp, calamari both cooked to perfection. Service was great, prices competitive. We will be back.

We were pleased when this long-empty neighborhood space opened up as a Thai restaurant. It's a smallish space, perhaps 12-15 tables, and they seem to fill the place most nights. Based on a couple of recent visits, however, I wonder how much return business they...get. We have been underwhelmed by the menu selections, and the dishes we chose were not, to be charitable, equal to the standard of good Thai restaurants. Service was harried and not particularly efficient. I love to see independent neighborhood businesses, and I wish them all success, but they need to up their game to compete.More

After seeing the coming soon sign for over a year - The Thai Corner finally opened in July 2019! As a neighborhood restaurant in the Westbrae area of North Berkeley - it's a nice addition to the neighborhood dining options. Family run establishment. As of...August 31, no liquor license yet so only non-alcoholic drinks available. a Nice menu of typical Thai appetizers, soups, curries, Pad (noodle) dishes and house specialties. Entree prices range from $11 to $20. My dining companion and I ordered two appetizers - the deep fried tofu and the deep fried sweet potatoes. Both dishes were presented nicely on a bed of lettuce with a small crushed peanut dipping sauce with a lovely orchid flower. We agreed that the dishes were not dripping in grease. actually very delicious and not oily at all. The sweet potato fries featured yellow, white and purple varieties of sweet potatoes. My friend had the slow-braised pork leg which was served sliced with a nice sauce. He found it to be very tasty, but the meat had the skin on it and thus a but fatty. I had the garlic marinated beef which was quite delicious. My dish was supposed to have a siracha dipping sauce which dd not arrive with the meal. I asked about it and the server was unsure even though it states it on the menu so she brought me a ketchup with siracha instead which was VERY hot ! We also ordered the sticky rice which was good. mix of 2-person and 4-person tables. We were there on a Sunday evening of a holiday weekend and found it busy. mix of couples and families.More

Only opened in August 19, Thai Corner is still shaking out the kinks and choreography but shows promise. The prep work is a little primitive and lacks much visual appeal, but that’s true of most street cooking in Thailand; and the cooking is coming nsistent...and assured. The menu is a familiar assortment of well-known dishes. Thai Corner fits into its Walkable Westbrae Neighborhood as a local resource — a Two minute walk for me and consistently appreciated by others on our block. But with more than 30 [sic] other Thai restaurants within a two mile radius it will need to step up a notch to draw diners from across town — some well chosen temporary specials would gelpMore

Went to this restaurant tonight We ordered two dishes, a curry and a vegetable stir fry dish with deep fried tofu with garlic sauce. The wait staff did not inquire about the spice level that we wanted for the curry and it ended up being...too spicy. Though otherwise the curry had a nice flavor with basil it was not edible for one of the members of our party. The other dish had an odd taste to it and did not taste very good at all. The fried tofu was soggy and the broccoli also did not taste fresh. We told the wait staff we did not like this dish and that we could not eat it. We sent it back. When we got the bill we were still charged for it. The server was also not very friendly. She seemed bored and uninterested. The lighting in the restaurant is bright and stark due to the bright white LED lights which also makes the room quite unattractive. A few improvements could be made to make the food tastier and the service and decor more friendly and welcoming. Until then I will not be returning to Thai Corner. Sorry I can’t recommend it.More

This new mom and pop restaurant features fast service and a wide assortment of tasty dishes at reasonable prices. The view and decor are very inviting with exposed brick and beautiful photography. The service is friendly and efficient. The menu features appetizers, soups, salads, curries,...rice and noodle dishes. It is easy for vegetarians or gluten free diners to find several dishes to their liking. The restaurant also asks in advance what spice level you prefer so you are not surprised by the heat in the dish. Portions are fine if you prefer individual meals or several dishes to share. They offer white or brown rice as you prefer. This is a local restaurant for us and we will return often.More
