Sunday evening we had a 5:45 reservation. We arrived at exactly 5: 45. No table available. The woman at the front was shockingly rude especially considering the caliber of restaurant we believed Bella Sienna to be. She offered a seat on the patio which was...absurd with the temperature in the low 40’s. We asked if we could sit on the couch and wait. “If you want to,” was her response. She did not ask if we wanted a drink or a glass of wine while we waited. We were finally seated near 7 pm. Our server was a lovely young man; knowledgeable and very friendly. Our entrees were delicious. Although we enjoyed the food we would only return if the blonde woman at the front was not there. We have traveled and dined on five continents. She was the rudest person I have ever encountered. I would never recommend this place to my friends or Airbnb guests. Her behavior was inexcusable.More

What great service, what wonderful food. One wonders, how does a small town like Benicia get a super-chef to reside here? But somehow they have. My main dish was the pollo ripeno: chicken breast stuffed with spinach and wonderful, oh se wonderful pureed potatoes. My...wife had the gnocchi al pesto with shrimps. All very good. Did I forget the bruschetta we shared at the beginning. In this case the bread it was served on was exemplary, not too soft, not too hard, seasoned with ... heavenly ingredients. We arrived shortly after they opened and we hadn’t made a reservation....big mistake. We were offered a table on the patio, and as it was a warm afternoon, we decided to give it a try. It is a lovely patio; however, there is no view...from the patio as other reviews have implied. They also informed us that there was a two hour time limit. The service was quick and very pleasant. The food was very good. We had mushroom risotto ($24) and mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce ($23). Both dishes were very good. I would definitely return here for dinner.More

Had another great meal. Friendly and good service. Lovely view. We have been coming here for years even though it's a few miles from home and we pay a bridge toll of $6!!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch on their nice outdoor patio recently. The servers were friendly, helpful an attentive and really enhanced our experience. The only reason we didn't rate this restaurant with 5 stars was when we arrived the hostess stand was left unattended for...quite awhile and we finally had to walk further into the restaurant and ask a busy server if we could be seated. Aside from that, our experience was wonderful in all other ways!More

Was looking for a place to enjoy our anniversary and bring our dog. Called 2 times leaving a message asking if they are pet friendly but no return call. Left our pupperz at home, saw a dog outside and asked, never did get a good...reply from the hostess but obviously they do allow dogs on the patio. Made a reservation so when the hostess came I said we have a reservation and she never checked asking if we wanted inside our outside, no need for a reservation obviously. Our server Melanie was absolutely Awesome!!!! Food was very good although prawns a little over cooked but they are sensitive to heat and it's easy to slightly over cook them. Melanie and the food are a definite 5 star!!!!More

We should not have been surprised to find great Italian food so close to San Francisco. Very authentic. I had the veal piccata and my husband had the fish special. Both very good, and the sautéed spinach is the best. Nice atmosphere, not too noisy...but not too quiet. Very eclectic clientele .More

I have never in my life been treated so bad by a restaurant manager and hostess. Choose another restaurant in Benicia for you to have a pleasant experience. There are many other options. NEVER again!

So glad things are opening up and glad we decided to try this restaurant on the water! Beautiful setting and great food and service! We started with the steak carpaccio which was delish. Then I had the veal scallopini and hubby fruitti de mare ....Both were excellent choices. Ended with lavender orange creme brûlée. Excellent! felt so good to be out and close to normal. My only negative was the time to receive our entree other than that was very happy!More

I always enjoy dining in California and Bella Siena did not disappoint. Starters were shared at the table - skirt steak satay, crab cakes and carpaccio - they were complemented by an outstanding Pinot. My satay was so on target I had the Teriyaki Skirt...Steak for my main plate. Open dining room overlooking the water completed the dinner.More

We hadn't been here since November 2019, mostly due to COVID. The food was still excellent, as was the service. Wine list is very good, also. Seating is outside and in the restaurant. Open all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
