We have just enjoyed an absolutely delicious lunch. I had a special vegetarian meal, no risotto or burger in sight, each course leading seamlessly to the next.the bread was delicious with a really crisp crust. I had sweetcorn fritters with a sweetcorn puree , set off by heritage tomatoes and beetroot followed by leek and goats cheese tart with a... More

We've been a couple of times now to the Butcher's Arms for various special occasions. It's probably a good thing for our waistlines and pockets that we live a bit too far away to go more often! It's been a fantastic experience every time. My boyfriend loves good food, but isn't a fan of the fussy service that can accompany... More

Booked an evening meal on reccomendation from our daughter, well we were not disappointed. Whilst the bar area and seating for meals is not large, there is a nice atmosphere. Had 3 courses and each was amazing in its on way, the flavours were outstanding, whilst it is not the cheapest place I've ever eaten at, each course was worth... More

Really small restaurant. Friendly staff (and cat). Excellent food. Not a great deal of choice but don't think you could go wrong. Really worthy of a visit.

This gastro pub is well worthy of its Michelin Star. The service, food and wine are exceptionally good and the menu often has unusual choices available. There is a nice ambiance to the pub and it's always a pleasure to visit. We've been many times and have booked ahead again already.

Wow! I was told this place did good food but wow! Ok I know it may seem expensive but it is absolutely worth every last penny! This is michelin quality food in a village pub. If you eat nowhere else all year just eat here the once. I bet you ask for more bread, it is indescribably good and words... More

Miles from anywhere in the middle of countryside this tiny country pub benefits from a Michelin star. The rustic interior is very small and the tables are close together or, in our case, communal with other guests. A group of locals was at an adjoining table thoroughly enjoying themselves with pints of ale, but the din they were making was... More

We decided to go for dinner to The Butchers Arms as a special treat as we had heard very good reports and it has been awarded Michelin Pub of the Year for 2016 and in our opinion, well deserved. It is first and foremost a local pub with locals drinking beer at the bar. There are only a few dining... More

Our 16th Century Public House is situated on Lime Street within the Parish of Eldersfield. The Butchers Arms is first and foremost a rural pub, where the bar is the hub of life, with low ceilings, wooden floors, roaring log fires and real ale served straight from the cask. Our small seasonal menu is a huge feature of the pub for which we are immensely proud to have been award a Michelin Star for.To make your reservation or any questions we can help with just call us.
