Wow! I was told this place did good food but wow! Ok I know it may seem expensive but it is absolutely worth every last penny! This is michelin quality food in a village pub. If you eat nowhere else all year just eat here the once. I bet you ask for more bread, it is indescribably good and words... More

Miles from anywhere in the middle of countryside this tiny country pub benefits from a Michelin star. The rustic interior is very small and the tables are close together or, in our case, communal with other guests. A group of locals was at an adjoining table thoroughly enjoying themselves with pints of ale, but the din they were making was... More

We decided to go for dinner to The Butchers Arms as a special treat as we had heard very good reports and it has been awarded Michelin Pub of the Year for 2016 and in our opinion, well deserved. It is first and foremost a local pub with locals drinking beer at the bar. There are only a few dining... More

Following a personal recommendation from a friend of mine, I took four of us to The Butchers Arms for dinner to celebrate my Wife's birthday. I'm so glad I ignored the negativity seen in some reviews - this pub has all the elements for a truly great meal in unpretentious surroundings. The pub has not been 'gastro'd' which is fab.... More

Visited for what we were hoping was a special meal. We found the atmosphere and service pretentious, the food good but overly expensive. I expected more given it was given pub of the year.

A warm and welcoming experience. Food was fantastic and well deserving of its high credentials. How one chef singlehandedly delivers this level of food is a massive achievement.

Great place to eat and be merry with or without family! Definitely recommend as top class! Family run and small enough to be friendly through and through, well done!

After being recommended the Butcher's Arms I decided to look at directions, menu and reviews. After finding the location went straight to the Food button on the website - well the tone was simply unacceptable - you MUST tell them of dietary requirements - their capitals not mine. I can understand it is very difficult when customers do not tell... More

We've wanted to visit the Butchers Arms for a few years and we were delighted when some friends who live close to the pub booked a table to take us on a Friday evening. Without doubt one of the best meals we have eaten, with excellent service and in an cosy setting that is still a pub that welcomes locals... More

Our 16th Century Public House is situated on Lime Street within the Parish of Eldersfield. The Butchers Arms is first and foremost a rural pub, where the bar is the hub of life, with low ceilings, wooden floors, roaring log fires and real ale served straight from the cask. Our small seasonal menu is a huge feature of the pub for which we are immensely proud to have been award a Michelin Star for.To make your reservation or any questions we can help with just call us.
