As a resident I find this place to be highly overrated. The lines are long and the service is sufficient at best. I have been here many times with family, friends and co-workers. Each time I have had the same bland, long wait, average service. The food is like a fancy Denny's with the price tag of an upscale breakfast... More

Not sure what happened to this place, although it is always busy. First time last year was good. This time not do much and service was below average. Sad.

Great food. Service was spot on. Lots of choices to pick from. Coffee always filled never ran out. Had the waffle with berries. Everything was fresh.

We ordered the August specials of the month and they were delish! Grilled Romaine with Green Goddess Dressing, and for dessert homemade chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips! Both of these specials were outstanding, one was from Martha Stewart magazine and the other from eat in or out magazine, 24th Street Cafe is the place to... More

Nice place. Food is traditional American fare and quite good. Unfortunately im not a fan of this type of food. Maybe growing up eating it every day has ruined me on it Its better than the chain restaurants by far.

I was sceptical of the cajun omelet but it was delicious. The pumpkin pancakes are to die for. I'm not from town but I would come here again in a heart beat

We've only eaten breakfast here, but the food is soooo good. Every time we drive through Bakersfield we make it a point to stop here for breakfast. Service is fast and very friendly. Pancakes are light and fluffy. We also really like the large Omelettes. They're always packed with our favorite choice of goodies. Our coffee cups were never empty.... More

You can not go wrong eating here. From their pumpkin pancakes to huevos rancheros this place is the real deal. Great food at great prices. Go early because there is always a wait.

Great food and good service. By far the best breakfast I've ever had in Bakersfield. A must for all visitors to Bakersfield.

This cafe is fabulous! The food is fresh, and the portions are huge. I ordered the Mediterranean omelet. The omelet was great, and it came with fresh fruit, and biscuits and gravy.
