We were passing through Bakersfield and saw this was #1 so decided to try it. The wait was not long. Definitely the best biscuits I've had in years. The cinnamon roll French toast was amazing and portioned just right. Really glad we tried it.

We came here based on the reviews. We had to wait about 30 minutes, but they had shade and chairs set up in front for the wait. Our waitress was very welcoming, As vegetarians, we went with the Omelets--sauteed onion and mushroom and the spinach, feta cheese, and tomato. Both were delicious and very filling. The place was packed with... More

I saw this restaurant reviewed here on TripAdvisor and thought we would give it a try. It was a little bit out of our way as we were headed Southeast on HWY 99/58 toward Barstow, Ca. but it was worth the detour. The breakfast was really good and the service was good. Give it a try sometime.

We stopped by here after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We are from England and were amazed by how efficient the staff were during such a busy time. Our breakfasts were fantastic and great value for money.

Once again TripAdvisor sends us to the right place. Looked on my mobile app as we approached Bakersfield. Its small, and a little hard to find, but when you walk in the door, you're in a 1960's diner. The only thing missing is the jukebox. I had the grilled vegetarian sandwich with fries. Description: perfect. Excellent wait staff, clean bathroom.... More

Just eat here. Great service, great food. I had the patty melt. You'll want to try anything on the menu. The didn't even flinch when one patron dropped all the toothpicks. Just a huge smile.

I think this is the best breakfast I've ever had! It's a pretty small place and you may have to wait for a while, but believe me, it's worth it. The staff are so friendly, and even made allowance for us being English and clueless! I tagged in on Facebook and they even commented on my post, absolutely fantastic service.... More

This is a classic cafe with incredible food for both lunch and dinner. There pancakes and cinnamon rolls are worth blowing your diet! Lunch specials can be a classic "meat and 3" choice, or a wide variety of sandwiches and salads. There are pies, milk shakes and terrific coffee. The servers there are real pros, and know how to get... More
