It was fun to share this experience with my daughter and 4 grandchildren (ages 7-12). The staff was friendly and the food was good. We especially enjoyed the HUGE shakes!

Had hamburgers and where tasty but pretty much the sort of burger expected for a luncheonette. Very small patty but still good enough. It is the experience and fun of something different that counts for this place. Price was reasonable and service very good. Plenty...of local business folks having lunch also. Not a tourist trap sort of place. Can wander the antique mall located in the rest of the Woolworth's after eating.More

Awesome place to get an old fashioned burger, hotdog and fries!! The food is great, portions are plentiful & if you love milkshakes this is the place to be! The atmosphere is original old Woolworth diner, bar stools at counter, decor from old movies memorabilia,...workers dress from the 50’s, with antique mall adjacent so you can enjoy a stroll after a meal, tons of antique vendors in the same building!! Awesome place to bring the family for a blast from the past!!! They also offer a few different sandwiches items as well like pastrami!!! A must place to visit!!More

Besides the hamburgers and hot dogs, they have a secret menu. Ask for items that are on it and you will be surprised.

Loved exploring the building inside and out. The diner had classic malt shop fare. Woolworth memorabilia can be found near the entrance. The former store is now a large antique mall. Come stroll down memory lane.

Stopped by with my mom to have some ice cream. My mom had a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and i had the Almond Roca chocolate milkshake. I was impressed with the many chunks of almond roca in my milk shake.

Visited a few days before Christmas on our way from Northern California to Southern California. The place was busy and the atmosphere was good. Our family of 5 ordered 2 chili dog combos and 3 burger combos. The food was good but the burgers reminded...us of In and Out burgers. I'm glad we stopped and window shopping for antiques was definitely worth it, but the food was average.More

We love to come here and as often as we can. It's a great place to bring the kids, the parents, and whoever else is in town. You can order your food, shop around a bit until it is ready, or shop after. The costumer...service is the best. Never have we had a wrong order or anything less than A plus service. We love the music, and the food is so good too. The fries are always hot, cooked fresh for you right there, as well as your burger. I recommend getting bacon on your burger. The shakes are huge and every one of them tastes so good! This place has all the charm you'd hope for in a working diner and it's a treat every time.More

Most of you who are baby boomers remember the old Woolworth's store and/or diner. What a treat it was to go and sit at the counter! We had business in Bakersfield, and made this a "must stop" for nostalgia reasons, and really glad we did,...we just wished we had more time. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal, but the burger and fries were super good! Excellent flavor, good service, and old time uniforms and hats. It's a really fun stop, good place to eat, and there's an antique/vintage shop attached for something to do once you're finished eating! We will definitely be going back.More

What a trip down memory lane. The vintage merchandise was so fun to look at and buy. It was so nostalgic to see the building and grab some food at the counter with my family.

My husband and I visited the old Woolworth’s to browse around the antique shop, that use to be the store part! We were surprised that the diner area was still in business!! We ordered hamburgers and fries with soda for our drinks! The hamburgers were...big , juicy and piled with all the old fashion condiments. Tomato, lettuce, onion and pickles! Made fresh , behind the barstool area. Booths were still there for our comfort! Like stepping back in time!!More

I like my burgers hot, juicey, veggies, grilled onions (ask for them) and gooey cheese. I tell them crispy fries & extra seasoning. And they have it perfect every time. Just love it. My butterfinger shake, I want my spoon to stand in the middle...and not move, perfect every time. Sorry to say they are not perfect, the ketchup for my fries is AWFUL, please get a good ketchup.More

What an amazing building. With so many older buildings making way for development across the US it is so nice to see a town embrace the older era of buildings and this Woolworths has to be one of the standouts. The café adds to the...attraction. The meals are good and well priced but you may end up spending more in the antique store that operates within the property.More

Hi Maria, I am not sure if they still carry cheese cake and if so the original recipe, but I will differently ask them next time I’m in, I visit there 1-2 times a week myself! They have a great menu with the nostalgic feel... More
