We love going here. It's one of our favorite restaurants in Bakersfield. Small, family run, friendly, good service, not noisy, and delicious food. Good prices, too. Hard to beat.

It is tiny restaurant, we were seated right away. We ordered papas elenas as appetizer which is balls of mashed potato stuffed with ground beef, I like it, it was delicious. And vegetarian soup ( it was ok). I ordered their chicken with garlic, it was delicious and tasty. I definitely recommend it. My wife ordered ropa vieja sandwich, nothing... More

This is a very small place with no curb appeal at all but it's worth seeking it out for the quality of the food and warmth of service. I had the traditional Cubano sandwich and requested black beans as the side (I was offered 4 choices). The beans far exceeded expectations because of the character and seasonings. The hot sandwich... The owners are the nicest people and go out of their way to be of service in a very attentive, courteous manner. It's a little hole in the wall joint in an odd out of the way part of Bakersfield but it's worth looking for. LOVE the flan and empanadas as well as the arrow congri (with black beans). The... More

Love the food here. Charming place. Nice to support a small business that is not a chain. Reminds me of my days living in Tampa, FL

It's a small café run by a Cuban family, and only one person serving and taking orders, so be patient with the service. However, you are guaranteed to have the most delicious and authentic Cuban food, served with a smile and courtesy. We ate here 3 times so far (lunch and dinner) and never been disappointed with the service nor... More

Since we got there me and 6 family members felt like not welcome the waitress told us there were space for us we told her we can seat in separate tables ans she insisted it will take up to 45 min to be serve. 10 min passed by she dont even take the beverage order the worst service ever.

Limited menu but what they have is full of flavor and delicious plus the service was outstanding. Plaintains were carmelized and yummy. The rice was lightly seasoned and went well with the spicy Shrimp dish I ordered. Will visit every time I'm in Bakersfield, its worth the drive to the "other side of town".
