Initially told our wait would be 45 min. On a trip, tired and hungry we decided to just wait. We were called before 15 minutes! Ordered a pizza. Immediately were served huge, warm, rolls with olive oil. I could have just been good with that....Such a comforting thing. Pizza was ok, probably wouldn’t get the same kind (chicken parm) again but tasty. Would like to try an actual entree next time. Seems like a very busy place. Lots of easy, free parking.More
The first night we had dinner we had a party of 5, each of us had a different entree and each was amazing starting with the best bread and Ceasar salad. We were so impressed with the meals my husband and myself went back the...next day and were fortunate enough to get the same server 'Roxy' what a great server. She actually remembered us and our drinks from the previous night. If you're ever in town make certain you visit, you won't be sorry.More
Just staying night and found this gem on TripAdvisor as good place to eat and it did not disappoint. We both had lasagna and probably the best we have had. Waitress was great as well.
We have driven by this place many times. It always looked inviting. We looked up the reviews and it looked pretty good, so, we thought we would give it a try. I ordered the Lasagna (Ednas I believe). It was good but nothing special. My...daughter had the Tortellini with sausage. The sausage was so spicy she couldn't eat it. She said it was ok, had better. Mamma had the Ham Sandwich, she said hers was ok. I had the salad with their Balsamic Dressing. What I got was some sort of road tar that tasted a bit like Balsamic Vinegar. It was edible but again nothing special. I am not saying the food was bad, it wasn't. I am just saying it was average among the other Italian Restaurants I have been too. Oh and the atmosphere and service were excellent.More
I made reservations for my family recently, and the service and food were great. It was my wife's birthday and a Friday night so it was busy. The bread and wine came quickly and was delicious. We all ordered different dishes of pasta and there...were no complaints. The staff came out and sang happy birthday to my wife and we all left full and happy! Definitely need to try this longtime favoriteMore
Found myself in Bakersfield for the first time on business. Hotel recommended this restaurant. I was a little dubious based on the reviews. My family is Italian and I have been to Italy several times so I tend to be a little picky with my...Italian. I was so pleasantly surprised! My food was fantastic! The server was quite lovely. The bread was delicious. The papo pasta (rigatoni with sausage) was perfectly cooked and flavorful and the house wine was remarkably good. I would go out of my way to eat here again.More
The food was awesome the service was terrific We live in Visalia but when in Bakersfield we always come to Frugatti’s. The best Italian food by far. Amber is and has always been another reason we visit ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you ALL for making this the...most memorable moment for Georgia and I 😘More
I waited over 50 minutes for my to go order when I was told 20 minutes. I was in the car waiting for my husband and after 25 minutes I went in to see what is going on, at least the manager gave it us...a $25 credit for next time. I would not order take out from here, I watched as other people were being served the meatball lasagna we were waiting for. My Alfredo pasta was already separating because we had to wait for the lasagna.More
Worst pizza in the world! Charged me $21 for a personal size pizza that was burnt on one one side, but still came out cold. Not warm but cold! Waste of money. Rusty's pizza is a lot better quality and price. Don't waste your money!!!!!!!
From the moment we arrived, the manager, Amber made us feel so welcomed...she is simply amazing! After a short wait for our table, and a few amazing cocktails, we were seated and met our fun and friendly server, Harmony. We had a great time and...the food is simply incredible. For our group of five, this restaurant checked all of the boxes. We will definitely return!More
Oh my goodness, you simply MUST. The service is impeccable, the food so delicious, just check the online menu and then order and enjoy! No doubt you will be singing their praises!
Driving thru Bakersfield on our way east. This place got great reviews mostly so we figured we would give it a try. It was good but not great. I had the Penne pasta with the fried breaded eggplant. It needed salt and a little less...garlic and the fried eggplant was really greasy. My husband had the Spicy sausage ravioli with bolognese. It was good but too much fennel. Side salad was average and garlic dressing was good. Bread was dense but warm. Due to covid restrictions we had to eat outside in tents. Was fine but meant turn around was longer. Wait was over an hour on a Sunday evening. Staff was friendly and efficient.More
Cindy, while I'm glad you found our staff friendly and speedy, I'm sorry you weren't completely satisfied with your eggplant. I wish you had let us know so that we could have had the chance to bring you something more to your liking. Still, I...More
We took our wives here for dinner because it was one restaurant serving on t patio. To start dinner we had two appetizers, stuffed mushrooms and artichoke toast points. T mushrooms were good but t other dish was marginal. My wife and i had ny...steaks which were a nice size and cooked correctly. Mine was topped with mushrooms and onions. Very good. Our friends had lamb kabobs and masticholli. Both were ok. BUT thats where t good news ends. T waitress brought out t appetizers at t same time as our salads after i told her we wanted to enjoy t appetizers first. Inexcusable. She blamed it on t kitchen. And before we barely got going on our salads she brought out t entrees. RIDICULOUS. They were definitely putting t bums rush on us for a moderately priced dinner. $160 for four. Not fast food. Besides all that they only seated us on an outdoor patio w a marginal heater and a windy draft blowing thru. Not acceptable. I cant recommend dinner here. They’ve lost their way!More
I always want our guests to feel like they can take their time in enjoying their meals, so I apologize if that wasn't the case for you last time. Also, I'm sorry if you could have been more comfortable seated on the patio. I'll look...More
A great Italian restaurant for any special occasion in Bakersfield. Wonderful food and service, the presentation and portion were wonderful . Can dine out in the patio and be social distanced if needed. Staff all wearing masks while we dined there. Do not miss this...place if visiting Bakersfield!More
