My family and I went last night for my fathers 71st birthday and the waiter was nice and very attentive. Anthiny made sure we and the other diners with us were attended to. He was quick and efficient. We gave him a good tip since...last time we went (3 years ago) we had one of the worst service we had ever encountered but since it was my fathers birthday and they have musicians playing there everyday in the evening for dinner we gave them a second shot. We did not tell anyone of the workers and we were pleased with the new experience. ANTHONY did a FABULOUS JOB!!!More

The restaurant was small but with a lot of hungry visitors. The staff was very helpfull and our orders was served quickly and it was good. We had we think typical Mexican main course and the dessert was deep fried ice-cream. Ow and it was...delicious.More

Hadn't been here in over a year and I don't know why. We went early because the place always fills up by 6. We were seated and greeted quickly. I ordered a taco/enchilada combo and my parents had the Molcajetes Supremo. This dish is presented...in a lava bowl, bubbling hot. The best thing is it stays hot the whole meal. Served with rice, beans, tortillas and avocados, it is an ample meal for 2. The food arrived quickly and we dug in. My combo plate was delicious and flavorful. The Molcajetes dish was super hot and loaded with shrimp, chicken, cactus, onions and a whole jalapeno. The service was very efficient and the whole meal was excellent. This place is highly recommended!!More

Had dinner. It was a busy Friday night. The food was really good. We enjoyed everything. The only problem was the noise. The mariachis were too loud, and every time they sang to Birthday people, the banged on a tambourine with a maraca. It was...just too much.More

I visited Los Molcajetes because they were close to where i was working. When i came in a super friendly hostess welcomed me and offered me a seat by the window. Thank you! My waiter was extremely attentive and also very friendly. I ordered the...restaurants specialty dish the extreme molcajete and wasn’t disappointed!! I’ve never seen this dish on a menu and it was delicious! This dish could be shared with 2 people for sure.More

Wow. Really good, authentic and unique menu with the standard fare as well. If you choose the Molcajete dish you better be hungry and patient. Portions are huge and volcanic hot (temp and spice).

My wife and I have had dinner here twice. The last time we were there we shared a nopale salad and the special molcajete. I don't recall ever seeing either of these dishes on the menu in any other Mexican restaurant. The food and service...were both excellent, in the atmosphere is very pleasant. We will be back.More

Came here for a birthday party. They would not accept a reservation, even for our LARGE party. The line was out the door even though we went early~ish (4PM) Twenty minute wait to get seated and almost as long to get a drink. Ordering was...somewhat of an ordeal as our waiter did not speak English and my Spanish is only good enough to get me in trouble.... Refill on drinks during the looooooong wait for food? Hope you aren't thirsty, it's going to be awhile. I must have ordered the wrong item on the menu as everyone else seemed ok with their food, 'Devil Shrimp' is apparently the only item on the menu that SUCKS! Presentation was also a rather weird mix... Mixed drinks looked unique and inspired. Some food dishes were also unique looking, while others looked somewhat short of plain~as in, Denny's can do better. I don't get it. Considering the poor service and a less than stellar meal, I can't imagine why there was such a line to get in this place. Prices seemed a tad high for some dishes and about average for others. Everyone has a bad day once in awhile so maybe one day I may give this place another chance but with so many good Mexican restaurants to choose from I don't imagine it will be anytime soon...More

Went to Molcajetes Saturday night, started out with a couple margaritas on the rocks excellent! Lisa was our server and was great good service without smothering us, very friendly and down to earth. Salsa and chips were great and plentiful. We ordered there specialty shrimp,steak,...and Chorizo in a piping hot Molcajete in a spicy sauce with onions and cactus. What more can I say delicious!! Cane with rice, beans, and hot torts. Also had a shredded beef taco the was very good. Friends had spinach stuffed chicken that they really enjoyed. We will be returning soon.More
