What a great place to have a nice meal. We arrived early in the night with a reservation. Seated immediately as the crowd was sparse early - it filled-up later. Service was excellent though kind of drug on after we placed our order . Took almost 2 hours to complete the experience. We did not order anything special , the... More

As good, if not better, as some fine dining establishments in SF and LA I have visited. They do a great job on the different courses. Everything is well prepared and the service is great

Lovely personal service, with hotel's history included! Food was excellent and the pork belly starter to die for

Another great meal. Our favorite place in Bakersfield to stay and eat. The only disappointment was they were out of our 2 favorite dishes the tomahawk and scallops :( However the porterhouse and Chicken were delish.

We had the pleasure of having dinner here on Saturday night, and had such a wonderful experience. The dining room was beautiful, service attentive and prompt and our meal was delicious. I should start by saying that my daughter has several diet restrictions and eating out can be a challenge, but the chef, pantry chef and our server Jordan were... More

We stayed at the Padre Hotel in Bakersfield on a one night getaway. A great part of the stay (with a 20% discount for hotel guests) was the Belvedere. Absolutely first class in food and service. Worth the trip.

Although hesitant to go to a hotel restaurant, especially not staying at the hotel, I am so very thankful I did. This is the very best dining experience I have had in quite some time, irregardless of location. Both service and food were above typical quality standards. For example, I even questioned whether the yolk served with the steak tartare... More

My wife and I were a little nervous on what we might be served in this small industrial town hotel restaurant. After all, Bakersfield is not LA or NYC or even Portland when it comes to being a foodie Mecca. However we need not have worried - the Belvedere staff presented us with an outstanding dinner. We started with the... More

Stopped in for dinner after looking at options on OpenTable. I had the grilled pork chop, wife had the Wagyu short ribs. Sides were brussel sprouts and mushroom risotto. All were excellently prepared, service was timely and efficient and, overall, it was a satisfying meal after a long day on the road. The lobby bar is fairly loud, so try... More

We tend to shy away from hotel restaurants for the most part. We find the food is typically mediocre at best and over priced. The Belvedere at the Padre hotel however was a joy - big city sophistication in a small town. We had the Wagyu steak with foi gras butter and it was excellent. The spinach, cauliflower and risotto...
