Stopped here for breakfast on my way through town. Wide variety of breakfast and lunch items. Clearly a local favorite. Great food and service. Really enjoyed my breakfast and would return.

Clean, Fast, GREAT food with a fun, "local" ambiance. ALL the servers were so friendly and helpful. HUGE menu selection for such a tiny place. Fun décor - - literal "knotty pine" with agricultural/ranching antiques decorating the walls. I was THRILLED to find "Fried Okra" on the menu - - thankfully my husband pointed it out, because the menu is... More

This is always a good place to eat breakfast. Very good food and good size portions. Note they are always very busy and parking is limited. But it is always worth the wait.

We were just here again on our last trip about 3 weeks ago and I didn't have time to write a review for these lovely folks. And, here we are in Bakersfield again and so I must write this now! I really enjoy eating in this sweet little converted house-turned-restaurant even if all I have is a bowl of fruit,... More

My wife and I are relatively new to the area, and tried Knotty Pine after it was recommended by a local. The overall experience was great. Food, prices, service, everything was great. As others have already stated, you won't leave here hungry. The chicken-fried steak breakfast and French dip sandwich were excellent. The servers and staff treated everyone like family.... More

Wife and son stopped here while in Bakersfield, we'd heard it had good breakfast and we were not disappointed. The portions are huge, my wife and I split the chicken fried steak and eggs, with their special potatoes and buiscuits and gravy...way enough. The son had french toast with eggs, we all loved the food and service and coffee are... More

This place doesn't look like much from the road but the food and service was great and at a very reasonable price. Servings are big so be careful what you order unless you want some boxed up to go. We actually had 10 people for lunch and everyone was served at the same time and only compliments from everyone on... More
