Its a local restaurant frequented by locals . It has its charm but its not classy. They have an extensive menu but many items were not available. the food is vasic but tasty . Its a little step back in time.

I hoped to eat some good traditional peruvian food, but I was totally disappointed. Low quality, not recommended.

This is a very friendly restaurant that has been going for decades and doing it right, without changing. The food is good, the prices are fair and the staff are friendly.

Everywhere in Cajamarca, I received gracious service. This was no exception. The extensive menu included cuy (guinea pig), conejo (rabbit) dishes as well as the beef, chicken, and fish offerings. The vegetable puree soup was delicious. My baked rabbit was well prepared, as well as the vegetables I substituted for the traditional rice and potatoes. The fried bananas side plate was... More

Large menu, great service. Never got tire of it after 8 days of at least one meal per day. There are two locations, one on the plaza and second one block up the hill from Costa Del Sol Hotel.

This restaurant is a gem, good and clean food, staff is really nice and welcoming, price is reasonable, I basically went there for dinner every night, definitely the highlight of my stay in cajamarca!

They do have menu items in English which is nice and the wait staff is fast and efficient. The portions are very large and tasty. However... More

Went here for breakfast. Well-frequented by locals. Decor is a little gloomy, but services is efficient. We had the Continental Breakfast, which was decent. There were more traditional breakfasts available, such as tamales, soups and pork sandwiches.

Salas was recommended to us when we wanted to try the local acclaimed dish cheese with honey. They had really great coffee with milk -- fresh, local milk! -- and cheese sandwiches, priced reasonably. The restaurant had the appearance of a cafeteria, which was not the most scenic place to eat, but it did feature nice campesino artwork on the... More
