The staff and drink selection are very good and well worth a beer or two. In my case let down by the food I had a burger around the £10 mark with chips and thought I'd stepped back to a 1970's football match. The accompaniments...More

A great rest stop whilst walking around the lake. Nothing special in terms of decor but quick service and the chips we had were great! Very welcoming for muddy walkers and dogs alike!!

Ate here with some friends after a day on the water. Food was average pub grub and staff were friendly. A little expensive at £10 for a basic meal.

Nice position but expensive for drinks, it is tucked out of the way and quite a stiff climb to get to it.

We have been visiting this pub for drinks and food for 20 years and I always worry that it will become updated or that the menu will be changed but, thankfully, it all still remains the same. Its a fantastic no-frills pub that is exactly...More

Visited on the 23rd & 25th march with friends, made to feel very welcome. Food good and portion size generous. Would recommend if you like a proper traditional pub.
