This small restaurant is in the square just by the 2 Paradores. The food was exceptional as was the service. Having toured all of Santillana looking at all the restaurants and the one in the Paradore on our first night we choose this one. Its...More

The food was great and quite an experience to cook the chuleton at the table ourselves. The first time we had experienced this but well worth it. Friendly staff. Good wine and we were lucky enough to sit outside at the end of September.

We ate here initially for breakfast and then had lunch another time and evening drinks. It was one of the few places open for breakfast after our hotel wouldn't serve us breakfast (that's another issue!). I will start by saying that the service here on...More

We arrived late for lunch, Spain’s timing I mean, 15h+. It was crowded, but some were almost finishing so we got a table after a short wait. I will say correctly attended considering the tired faced waitress we got. Food very good, “rabas” sardines, and...More

Nice friendly bar with AMAZING local tapas! The chorizo in cider was (according to my husband) one of the best things he's ever eaten here in Spain!! (& we live here) The local tapas/pinchos in this bar was exceptional!!

A decent choice of local and international foods here but we felt a bit let down by the service. The food was OK but nothing special. Much was pre-prepared so it was served just warm. There seemed to be not enough waiters to serve the...More

We went to El Castillo for breakfast this morning. The pinxtos were OK while the pastries seem commercially made and very dry. Nevertheless, the reason to avoid this place (even if the alternative is to go hungry), is the terrible service. The barman is a...More

Great fixed menu at 14.90 EURO. Salmon salad starter is excellent and vichyssoise is very good. Excellent fish main and pork spare ribs - looked heavy but tasted fine. Fruit salad and the chocolate cake desert are also excellent. All this plus wine, mineral water,...More
