A wonderful find on a dark, rainy night

We were passing through for the night and hotel recommended Frank's for dinner. We were very pleasantly surprised! The eggplant parmesan was the best my husband has ever had, and he tries this dish all over the world! The Caesar salad was excellent and so were the rolls that came with the salad, my chicken picatta was nice and lemony and had plenty of capers in the sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Frank's is a great place to have a meal. Always nice, good food, good service, calm and pleasant atmosphere. Have never had a bad meal there. The house salad dressing is one of my favorites. If you order a dish with cheese you get PLENTY of it. Miss the Sinatra music selections though. I never give 5 stars because home is the best place of all so 4 is really good.

Excellent fresh made authentic

Excellent fresh made authentic Italian food! Prices were good values. Very clean and welcoming restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive. Fried calamari and bruschetta were delicious and perfect textures. Pasta samplers also are excellent. Alfredos and marinara are NOT pre-made!

Just not worth the trip

Recent Ownership/Mgmt change still looking for the way?? Restaurant appearance is great and our waitress was nice but food was a real disappointment. Perhaps the place should be called "Sauce City" instead of Frank's. While told before that my Carbonara was saute with tomatoes I got a red sauce much like the sauce served on the lasagna of my dinning partner. Other dinners had to use a bread plate to clear some of the sauce to be able to find the pasta on their sampler plate. Our last diners order took 3 plates to get it correct when "No sauce" had been the special order. Sorry but once I got past the sauce the food still was not anything to go back for. There are some Indian special on a back menu and one must wonder if the is where the manager heart lies. Gonna recommend a pass on this one. Price is moderate.

Seriously- an Italian Restaurant with no wine!

I should have left when the waitress told me they did not have wine. But, as Frank's was rated the #1 restaurant in Van Buren Arkansas, and I was afoot, I persevered. Said was OK, "Italian" dressing was a strange sweet red concoction. Bread was nice but the Balsamic vinegar was covered in an inch deep pool of olive oil. Hard to get any balsamic into the soon oil soaked bread. The Veal Marsala was surprisingly good, the veal portion was extended by a great deal of well cooked pasta. Yhe sauce was good and was used on the bread. Service was good. If this was #1 I don't want to try #3.

Very good. I really enjoyed the chicken cacciatore. The complimentary bread and oil is tasty. Our server was great. Salads are an extra charge, but we saw several people ordering them. We ordered desserts to go. The chocolate cheesecake is good. The chocolate explosion cake had nuts in it.

The service was okay and the tiramisu was quite good. All else was simply awful. The bread was soft and slimy, not crusty like Italian bread. The lasagna had no structure and looked more like slop than lasagna and its taste was mediocre, at best. The veal marsala: mushrooms in sauce covering a piece of shoe leather that required a steak knife to cut but nonetheless could not be chewed by these human teeth. I believe the very nice manager would do better using her talents to run an restaurant that served Indian cuisine.

Not the FRANK'S we Remembered.

We always stop by Frank's, when going back home from Branson. We had lunch and we and two others where the only ones in the restaurant. The waitress was good and helpful. The cook was long in getting the food to us. I always order the pasta sampler and my sister, lasagna. I never notice lasagna coming out flat on your plate and not layered. The sauce was rich and strong on taste. Notice very little meat in the meals. Not like our visit back in 2019. Not worth coming back to.

OMG Good!

Stopped here because of the reviews...so glad we did! Everything we had was excellent! Their seafood is amazing and the tiramisu is FABULOUS! One of the best I've ever had. I would recommend this place highly to anyone who enjoys Italian food. We will certainly be back!

Dry county, no wine and bad food

Ordered chicken Alfredo and it was so bland and boring. I needed wine to at least try to enjoy something. Dry county. UGH! However, their garlic bread knots were decent.

Atmosphere, service, food was all excellent. We enjoyed the Chicken Piccata, salad and browned bread with dipping oil. We were traveling through Van Buren on I40 and would definitely eat here again.

Great food, value, & service

Thankful that after we have not traveled for over 3 years, Frank's is still here and going strong! We stopped at lunch. Very large portions. Excellent food. Friendly and fast service. Very good lunch prices too. HIghly recommend!!!

Best chicken Parm ever

I Recently Had to change my diet and get away from fried food so I asked franks if they could make a grilled chicken Parm for me and I just wanted to write this review and recognize them for not only making an accommodation but making the best chicken Parm I have ever had!
