So this is, one of my favourite places to eat. Love the food, great Guinness, love the atmosphere. Location is kinda out of the way (even for me, I live about 15 miles away) but well worth the trip. Beach 100 yards away, or a nice sandy beach to walk/paddle/swim on the other side of the marina. As for the... More

Heard good reviews about this place so decided to try it out while in inisowen. It's a bit hard to find, we thought we missed another turn off from the main road but we eventually found it. The place was so busy when we arrived on a Wednesday evening we thought we wouldn't get a seat, but the lovely staff... More

Dined with friends at the Tavern and it was great. Real buzz with live music and good service throughout. The food is simple but of a good quality and generous portions.

my main critisium is the entrance is not easy to find-turn off sign is fine but then you need luck to find the entrance-however once inside the welcome and the service could not be faulted steaks cooked in the dinning room to perfection also the fish dishes are a speciality old world decor but this gives unique atmosphere hope to... We ate here last saturday on the early bird menu. Excellent value for money considering I had sirloin steak as a main. €23 for 3 courses. The food was lovely and the staff were friendly with prompt service. Would definitely suggest book though as its a busy place.

What can I say..... Most delicious meal we have eaten in ages. Everyone, even our fussy 14 yr old left here with a full tummy! Fantastic selection of seafood, the steaks were to die for & the ribs...wow! Delicious deserts & good wine. Top class meal, will be coming back to Donegal for this place alone!!!

My son and I visited Donegal in May to play some golf (excellent weather / courses !). We stayed with friends in Fahan and dined locally in the Fire Box Grill. After our exertions on the golf course we both had healthy appetites. I order steak and my son had a seafood dish. Other members of our party ordered a... More

Went here with family on a Friday night and it was really busy, so book if you want to go. We were very lucky as our B & B Sea Vista owner John booked for us. The food was super and staff very attentive. We had a great night. Thanks guys.

Our restaurant is located on the shores of Lough Swilly, at Fahan, Co.Donegal, in the premises of The Railway Tavern which was formally the Station House of the Londonderry & Lough Swilly Railway Company (L&LSR)..Our Main course dishes are cooked to perfection on our wood burning Firebox Grill, just like in the old days were the engineers on the locomotives, used their firebox to heat their snacks !The Bar and Restaurant still have the old fires blazing which create a very cosy , snug room to eat or drink in ..
