Tremendous little taverna. Was recommended the dolmades and the lamb in lemon sauce. Both were absolutely delicious, as was the moussaka. Even the French fries that came with the lamb were excellent. The second excellent restaurant we have tried in this street. The quality of...both is head and shoulders above the restaurants in the old town. Do take the 10 minute walk to enjoy the intense flavours just outside the tourist centre!More

It's worth trying to seek out the little locals places. Prices are usually good and so is the food. This is a family run place, a bit basic but friendly. We had some grilled halloumi and tzatziki with bread. OH had the beef kokoretsi (in...tomato sauce) which he enjoyed and I ordered the pork kontosouvla (chunks cooked on skewer) which came with chips, tomato and onion. It was good although I did expect the pork to be a little more succulent whereas it was a tad dry. We were given free grapes afterwards. At less than €30 great value.More

I am not one for writing restaurant reviews. I read plenty of them, but rarely put my feedback in writing. This was SUCH a fabulous meal I felt obligated to write something about it. We are staying near the waterfront, and on our walk here,...we saw many, many "touristic" restaurants loaded with people. As we walked further and further away from the tourist center, the crowds dimmed and in 15 minutes from the waterfront, we came to this restaurant. Great service, very personal and helpful. GREAT food - we had the delightful seasonal greens salad, which was horta with olive oil and lemon that had me literally rhapsodizing. Then came the fried zucchini balls, which quite honestly I expected to be doughy and a little heavy. NOT. One bite into one and I knew we were onto something special here. Light, herb-flavored and delectable. The stuffed chicken with cheese and sun-dried tomatoes was moist and with just the perfect amount of charred flavor. And the spicy pork on spit - WOW. We have been to all kinds of places at this point on several of the islands and now Athens and starting in on the mainland - it will be hard to beat this one for flavor, freshness, sincere and genuine friendliness. Please - don't settle for less. Don't just walk by the 10th or 20th or 100th restaurant with its menu on the sidewalk and the bright lights beating down on diners. Go someplace truly memorable. if they were open tomorrow (Tuesday) - we'd be back in a nanosecond.More

We have been going to this taverna over the years and were interested to see how things were at their new, more convenient location. Good news!! The food is still off the charts in terms of quality, taste and presentation. And the family that runs...the taverna still goes all out to ensure you have a wonderful time. Haris, the chef, offers delicious specials showcasing his creativity and skill. I am half-Greek and have sampled thousands of tavernas all over the country. Pseiras remains my favorite!More
