we had a horrible experience with Funky Monkey guest house in Hampi recently..The attitude of staffs is very disrespectful and rude which is not acceptable in any circumstances with a female guest..we had a booking with them but it was cancelled without any communication..and when...we asked them to show that communication they started shouting on us ... one of them was drunk and started using slangs...then they called another 2 local men for their support to show gundagardi and that was sacry...it becomes very difficult to arrange accommodation in Christmas time at final moments... hence people expects some cooperation from their side also ...at least a decent behaviour... these kind of guest houses should be blacklisted from online booking otherwise people will be harrassed like us...we understand they prefers to give room to foreigners for better deal... .More

Average food it takes a little longer to get your food. Service is ok as well, it’s our 1st night in Hampi, I doubt we will Be back.

I visited hampi with a friend and stayed at funkey monkey. The people are helpful and friendly i lost my mobile they helped me trace it and got it back. Awesome food good music. Superb for a out of the box experience. Its walkable from...the virupaksha temple. Dont forget to take boat ride across the river you can get from back side of temple walkable from funkey monkey.More

We had a late breakfast here one morning so cannot comment on other food. It's mostly floor seating but there are a few tables (which we prefer). Friendly service. The bowl of fresh fruit I was served was excellent, enough for two and delicious curd...yogurt. My companion had a hearty pancake, also good. A pleasant place to sit with a nice view overlooking the street. Very good value for money.More

We visited this place after visiting the "Laughing Buddha" restaurant expecting similar quality. The seating and everything else was similar however the food was not so great. Especially being a veggie restaurant. The Lassi was great though, everything else not so much.

The location is good and easy to reach with a nice view of the temple complex. The menu is extensive (like everywhere around here). The service was friendly and the food didn't take too long to come. It was a nice spot to chill with...the bright walls and good WiFi.... but for the slightly more expensive prices on the menu the food was underwelming.More

Had a great couple of nights here in Hampi, we felt welcomed and the room was perfectly adequete for what we needed and at 450 rupees a night it was a bargain, close to all monuments and a short walk from the boat to Hampi...Island. Lovely stay.More

A good place near to temple.The place had good vibes. We had breakfast here. Aaloo parantha, omlette and the cheese tomato sandwich. Everything was so yummy. Very good staff and decent place .

the place was so amazing . micheal is so friendly and charming. i had one of the best food and they have good view of the river and i stayed at the same guest house . overall it was awesome
