Popular little restaurant

Cheap and cheerful little restaurant with a good menu selection. They don't serve alchohol so don't expect to get a beer with your meal, but our meals were delicious with generous portions. Can recommend the momos, the Pad Thai and Chicken Tikka Masala with rice and naan bread. All very reasonably priced.

Best Tibetan food in McLeodganj

You can find all sorts of food in McLeodganj but Tibetan food is something you must try here. And Tibet Kitchen was highly recommended by my friends and it did not disappoint, so much so that I had three meals in this restaurant during my stay in McLeod. Their Thukpa was amazing, the best I have ever had.

Good food and great portions

We had the special Tenthuk and chicken kothe. The soup was fresh with a variety of greens and some outstandingly fresh mushrooms. It was brought in steaming hot and we licked our bowls dry. Yumm !! The kothe wasnt great, just a large, fried chicken dumpling and lacked any discernible taste. The place is clean, the service is good and the food is great. Must visit.

TIbet Kitchen food has been good for years, and now they refreshed their rooms and it looks fantastic ! Clean and cozy, good lights, comfortable, phone charging points ! And clean bathrooms. The menu is very diverse. The Indian and Tibetan food is wonderful and they also have Thai, Chinese and Continental... and Bhutanese if you can handle it. Well worth a visit ! Have been taking out packed meals for months - great biryanis, chicken tikka, palak paneer, super momos, and they even deliver !

Nice and cosy restaurant for local food. Place has food for every age group with a large menu spanning across Tibetan, North Indian and South Indian food. We ordered soups, multiple types of momos, noodles, grilled veggies and a chicken dish and enjoyed all of them. Service is prompt and food can be customised as per need. Average bill per person was Rs 400. Please has clean washrooms.

Alert, Be cautious- Vegetation people are served with non veg

We ordered vegetarian menchi thupka from this restaurant. While eating half a way, we observed that there was a piece of chicken in the gravy. Being pure vegetarian, when we raised our concern to the owner of restaurant, he was ignorant about serving non veg. His only reply was “okay, if you are pure vegetarian you should go to pure vegetarian restaurant “. Rude owner and staff. Vegetarian should avoid going to this restaurant as the owner clearly said there is no precaution about vegetarian dishes.

Worst place, rude staff. As soon as we entered, we headed for a table at second floor and the staff rudely told “yeh reserve hai khi or baitho” as if we came for free food. Then cherry on the top was smashing menu on the table and giving no heed to our requests. Even i saw two of their staff passing comments to other customers. My personal request to you all “never visit this place”. Food we ordered was veg and chicken momos: veg momos full of cheese and pathetic. Believe me i have had better momos than these.

Don’t eat anywhere else in McLeodGanj

Really good food, at incredible prices. A little oasis of peace and quiet in the hustle and bustle of McLeodGanj. Dinner for three of us - momos, curries, breads, drinks - came to about £13. The walls are adorned with messages from His Holiness, and the staff are friendly with quick service. Often queues outside, a testament to this little jewel.

Superb Tibetan Cuisine!! Dharmshala Food!! We visited in month of March,2021. And I always prefer to eat local dishes so, we have ordered Momo's and Tibtan Rice (Very healthy with all raw and boiled vegetable). This is one of the famous food point in Dharamshala. Great tibetan food

Cute tranditional sit down on mat to dine option... Went by the recommendation of the staff and enjoyed the meal. Didn't care much for the tingmo ( traditional tibet steamed bread) but we relished the rest of the meal. Must try their peach beer.

Good food and value to money.

Clean, hygienic Tibetan restaurant right in the middle of McLeod Ganj main square. Food is delicious, staff friendly and good value to money. Tourists and locals eat in this joint hence we decided to eat in here and was pleased with overall experience.

chicken piece in veg soup. Not for vegetarians.

Expressing my deep concern regarding an incident that occurred during our recent visit to this establishment. Specifically, we had placed an order for the vegetarian menchi thupka. However, upon consuming approximately half of the meal, it was distressingly discovered that a piece of chicken was present within the soup. As adherents to a strict vegetarian diet, this discovery understandably caused significant distress. Subsequently, when we brought this matter to the attention of the proprietor, it was met with a regrettable lack of acknowledgment regarding the oversight in serving non-vegetarian fare. The response provided was disheartening, as it appeared to diminish the seriousness of the situation, with the proprietor stating, "Okay, if you are pure vegetarian, you should come to our place rather go to a pure vegetarian restaurant. We use same gravy for the dishes." Such dismissive conduct from both the owner and the staff is disconcerting and falls short of the expected standard of customer service. It is essential to emphasize the importance of maintaining stringent measures to ensure the integrity of vegetarian dishes in restaurants, particularly for individuals who adhere to specific dietary restrictions. Given the aforementioned experience, it is with a heavy heart that I feel compelled to caution fellow vegetarians against patronizing your establishment. The unequivocal statement from the owner regarding the absence of precautionary measures for vegetarian dishes is deeply troubling and underscores the need for heightened diligence in food preparation and service.

Fantastic food at fantastic prices

Great food at great prices! Every dish we ordered here was fantastic: kung pao chicken, fried momos, tenduri Momo's, chicken chow mein, spicy hot and sour soup, and paneer. The drinks were all great as well: lemon soda, iced coffee, lemon ginger tea. The service was incredibly helpful and friendly. We sat on the second floor by the windows, and had a great view of the town square. I would highly recommend this place!

I am diining here right now & everything I ordered is poor. Thupka taste nothing lile Thupka.. irs just veggies & noodles thrown in water with no flavor. Kung pao chicken os bland too with watery gravy with some peanuts & cashews thrown kn. They say this is how it’s cooked. Which is absolutely wrong and tells me they & their chef doesnt know how its made. Had to eat some of this sub-standard flavour less food today but Will never recommend or come here again. Portions are hige but food is tasteless.. very very poor

Unmatched far and wide

I have been there several times now and have tried various Tibetan and Bhutanese dishes. Everything was delicious and even though the restaurant has narrow stairs to the top, the service from the young people and the taste is second to none and the prices are moderate. The menu alone has about 20 pages, including Chinese, Japanese, Italian and other cuisines! But you can't get Tibetan and Bhutanese food that is as good anywhere else. Hence my tip for McLeodGanj: Tibet Kitchen.
