We spent out 2 of 2 nights at this lovely restaurant, because it was so delicious. The bouillabaisse, fish and chips, calamari, mussels, the carpaccio and last but no least the best carrot cake of our life, made our stay in Simon’s town really special....The atmosphere was so cozy and the hosts were just perfect! Thank you :)More

My wife thoroughly enjoyed her experience here tonight, with our 2 year old grandson - the staff coped admirably - thank you Lucy for being patient & going the extra mile with the candle & dessert. Excellent food & flexible food options for a Vegan...with food allergies. The Mauritian Bouillabaisse & Pork Belly were both excellent.More

Our large party stopped in for lunch prior to visiting Boulders Beach to see the penguins. The meal was delicious and priced very reasonably. We ordered sandwiches, salads, and pizza and all dishes served were tasty. The cafe offers both inside and outside dining in...a very comfortable atmosphere. Very good value for your money.More

Super lunch, yellowfin tuna an absolute delight from a fine menu catering for vegetarians and vegans. Service v attentive, very reasonable prices and far better value compared to what we're used to in the UK. Highly recommended and best food in the Cape on our...holiday to date. Simonstown residents are lucky to have cafes like this on their doorstep.More

After a visit to the iconic Cape Point we stopped off at this quaint eatery for a lazy lunch. Service was friendly and the food was great, especially the fresh Kob. The fresh mussels also deserve a mention as well as their Tomato Tart. Fabulous...end to a great day around Simonstown.More

We arrived at 6:45 pm and our meal was served almost at 8 pm. So we waited about an hour. The food was good but definitely not exceptional. And there was someone sitting just outside the open door chainsmoking. The smoke wafted in for our...whole meal, and that's not something you have to put up with in most restuarants. I think their standard is falling fast; this meal was disappointing compared to previous times I've been there and we (7 people) won't go back.More

This lovely restaurant on the main street in Simon's Town has a varied menu which should suit most visitors. My husband had the slow-roasted pork belly which he declared delicious - with lots of crispy crackling. I chose the seafood pasta, which was very good,...although a little too tomato heavy - I would perhaps prefer it with added cream or something to soften the acidity of the tomatoes. Still delicious, and the portions were more than generous. The service was satisfactory if a little slow - the restaurant was less than half full but my husband was only offered a drinks refill after he got up and started to head to the bar area. Maybe the waiter was tired after the lunchtime rush. We will definitely be back. I shouldn't forget the music - beautiful, soft, French music which contributed to the slightly Mediterranean atmosphere.More

Cannot recommend the Lighthouse Cafe enough, wouldnt dream of going anywhere else in Simons Town for dinner having visited two nights in a row during our stay in the area. Great varied menu, suitable for meat eaters, vegetarian or vegans, all at very reasonable prices.

Vegetarian burger was excellent. My partner had the seafood pasta, which was superb. We tried to sit outside, but it got a little windy, so moved just inside (both options are lovely). Wait staff was very attentive. Good value for money. Nice variety on the...menu, and perfect location (right in the middle of Simonstown).More

Truly divine dinner and most certainly the best place in Simon’s Town. Perfect ambiance for our couples dinner - but fully enjoyed by other ranges of diners including families of all ages and solo diners. We ordered the muscles as a starter, followed by the...prawns (an off menu tip if you’re after the most delicious plate full of succulent prawns) along with the Kob fillet enhanced with a coconut and coriander sauce. Flavours we will be talking about for years to come. Attentive, friendly and efficient staff were just the icing on a wonderful evening. Highly recommend this idyllic spot.More
