We came here for dinner & to celebrate our friend's birthday. We ordered grilled meat, chicken curry, falafel & soup. They were all yummilicious. Loved the mint & sage hot tea. We had a great time there. Thanks to Abdul's hospitality too.

We went here twice when we stayed in Wadi Musa. The food was really yummy with lots of traditional options. The okra stew was particularly tasty as were lots of the starters. The staff were really friendly and gave us complimentary tea which was lovely....All really well priced too.More

I don’t pan restaurants very often unless they’re uniquely deserving of such. A recent meal at Red Cave Restaurant close to Petra’s main entrance prompts me to alert others to its unethical if not illegal practices and urge potential diners to go elsewhere. We found...Wadi Musa offered some good eats, but not on the "tourist trap strip” close to Petra’s entrance. Our meal at Red Cave was decent enough – even good – but not better than elsewhere further from Petra’s gate. Service was attentive despite there being a large group also dining. It was the deceptive practices with the bill that prompt my panning this place. I paid the bill at the cashier’s desk in the rear. However, after returning halfway to our table, I turned back to ask for a copy of the bill, whose total seemed inordinately higher than I’d expected. On closer examination I found that several items listed in the menu for 2.50 JD were now 4 on the bill, others had been rounded up, and the total was increased not only by the standard Jordanian meal tax & service charge, but by an additional "bill pad" well in excess of 20%. Rather than return to discuss the obvious discrepancy of some 7+JD, I took a photo of the menu & prices displayed on the sidewalk as well as the bill to confirm the discrepancies. I’m writing this to alert others of the deceptive practices. If the Restaurant does this to each customer, think about how much it skims off those unsuspecting each year! This was the only bad experience in Jordan during a several-week visit, but I urge potential customers to beware of this place and others on Petra’s tourist trap strip near the entrance. There are good eats further away in Wadi Musa without the skimming practice.More

We went here on our last day in Petra, the food was amazing and the staff was super kind. Abdul in particular was great. Would also recommend the lemon and mint drink, it is made fresh to order.

I are here twice during my visit to Petra and enjoyed delicious soups, salads and other traditional appetizers. The design of the restaurant itself is rustic and charming. Please visit if you are in Wadi Musa

Great meal. Everything was yummy - fast service, and the staff were so nice. Back area was decorated nicely with traditional stone/cabe walls

Excellent Mansaf! We weren't sure where to eat and just took a chance on Red Cave. By far the best meal we had in Jordan. We ordered two traditional dishes and weren't disappointed. And we are fussy!!

The place is in the middle of tourism street. It has very friendly staff and is clean. The food was spectacular. We were close to eating at the hotel buffet because of bad first night experience. This place is totally worth coming to if you’re...in Petra. After meal we were sitting enjoying the weather and they offered us free tea and told to stay as long as we like. Eat from the Bedouin menu..it’s so flavorful and fresh. Must come!More

Had the chicken and rice dish, 12 dinars, very little flavour. Much better quality food for less money available elsewhere

We had to wait at least 40 minutes till the food came, we got our drinks, but no bread or other tasters. Starters arrived, and the too fast our main courses. Food was good, but a long wait, and the bill an unpleasant surprise, they...add 20-25%, which added up to 45JOD (2 cokes, 2 starters and two mains), way too expensive!More

Great place without a doubt! Much, much better than the other restaurants we've eaten out at. We've had the kofte with tomato sause and home made bread, a mint couscous salad as well as the chicken burger. We both liked it a lot. Ammar was...a very friendly waiter. Not too pushy, friendly and good service. They can improve the lighting/atmosphere but the food is great (i got very sick yesterday at 'my mom's recepy' we both didn't like the food there either (better atmosphere but horrible food and service))More

We ordered 2 Burguers and one sandwich in which ingredients literally said mix grilled chicken and cheese. They brought us a sandwich with vegetables (tomato, lettuce nipples) and my friend don’t like that. We kindly said to them they got wrong, if they could change...it. They were arguing with us that there, in Petra the sandwiches had that but in the ingredients didn’t put anything to do with that. They made us feel so uncomfortable. We didn’t enjoy at all the food. Don’t go there there are more professional restaurants near.More

I saw that they had big groups turn up with their group leader so I am sure that they would accommodate groups if given some notice of your arrival and numbers arriving.
