For the very first time in Jordan, one of the most pleasant and hospitable country I visited, I felt offended in this restaurant. The waiter in a very unpleasant way corrected my proununciation of the Greek course moussaka in "mussaga". I was amazed by this...disgraceful meaningless behaviour. Anyway the moussaka (pronuciation moo·saa·kuh, no g inside) was a worst ever. The check-out assistant was a nce person! Not recommended at all!More
Expectations, the staff there was very friendly, furniture design and they serve a tasty food with a local prices. Recommend
The food and service was excellent, there is nothing to complain about. It serves typical middle eastern food (except falafel:) we went there after the whole day in Petra, so bit hungry (it’s few steps from the entrance/exit area) and we enjoyed it a lot.
Excellent will come again for dinner. Owner is very friendly , WiFi is good. What more can I say, conveniently located opposite petra

Nice staff, the only camel burger we found in the city (good tasting) and amazing turkish coffee. Prices are very good considering the proximity of the entrance to Petra monument complex.

At first, it looked to us like it was touristy in a bad way but this was a great spot to try some Bedouin and Jordanian dishes. The menu also caters well to those who aren't in the mood to be adventurous and want something...more European. Great mint and lemon ice drink. Friendly service and a good atmosphere.More
located less than 1 block from the visitor's center. order the lamb mansef... trust me. it's one of the better restaurants on that main street there.
I had the loveliest lunch at the Oriental Restaurant with the tastiest Baba Ganoush I’ve ever had and a very good Moussaka. The fresh juices they make at the restaurant are also divine, don’t miss the mint and lemon juice, it’s the perfect refresher in...the heat. The staff at the resultant are so lovely, and happy to tell you about the different dishes, I enjoyed our chats a lot! Recommend this place very warmly for anyone visiting Petra, it’s only a couple of hundred meters outside of the Petra site entrance!More
If your looking for a good place to spend a nice and good lunch or dinner in Petra. This is the place to go. Excellent authentic jordan Food, excellent Service. I would highly recommend this Restaurant. Portions are huge, Food Quality is very good and...their menu offers from sandwhiches over traditional food everything. Prices are reasonable.More
After a long day at Petra, we were looking for a place to eat at a reasonable price and with some Western options as well. We had spent the first 4 days in Jordan eating only local food, but wanted something more familiar for a...change. We had already decided very early on that we wanted to visit this restaurant and due to the convenient location, we just parked our car in front of it before visiting Petra and walked to Petra from there. It's only a 2-3min walk from the restaurant to the Petra Visitor Centre and since the main Petra car park is slightly up a hill (you don't want to be climbing any incline after a long day in Petra) and also around 1-2min away, we decided to park here instead. Parking on the road is free. So right after visiting Petra, we walked to this restaurant for our dinner. We had a camel burger and a pizza and both were so so good! The camel meat was actually not as dry and tough as I expected it and the pizza was super juicy and full of flavour! In fact, we weren't able to finish the pizza and ended up having it cold the next day on our drive to Wadi Rum. Even cold was tasted very nice! Staff was very nice and they even had some staff members who immigrated to Jordan from other countries, which was interesting to find out. Seating outdoors is very nice and pleasant in the evening and it's very popular among the tourists to eat here. Would happily go again if we were to return to PetraMore

I went here because of a good review in Lonely Planet and because the owner invited me to join him and the staff for their dinner once they could eat - it was Ramadan. I thought that was fantastic, and I didn’t want to ask...the price in case I offended them. MISTAKE!! After our shared dinner (which was also very basic), I joined another couple and we had a total of 4 coffees and some sweets. I went to pay for everyone, and the bill was 28JD. That is of course ridiculous expensive for Jordan, but I had arrived from Israel that day where this amount would even be cheap. When I realized they were ripping me off, I went back to complain, but the place was so full of locals, the waiter did not care, and I was too tired to insist. I left only very irritated. This is just a warning that even in this recommended and apparently friendly place, they will happily take as much money as they can from unsuspecting tourists. ALWAYS get the price before you buy or consume or accept a “gift” in Jordan!!More
Some of our group were lunching here, and we decided to give it a go. It turned out to be a good option for those wanting local food for tourists. Prices were reasonable, and I liked the food. Could have had a camel burger.
