We had like a meze table of things and EVERYTHING was delicious. We sat outside which is really nice and the service was friendly.

More bufet that restaurant. But they are open while others are closed. I wanted soup, but this soup was not. I ordered vegetarian kjufte. Portion was small
Don't try here if you are a solo traveler. I tried twice, but the owners were so rude. They didn't want a only person to use a table for two. So It doesn't worth even a try.More
Hello, Thank you for coming and dinning with us. We have many solo travelers that choose our restaurant and we are always honored that they chose to share their travel experience with us. It is our pride to serve all our guests the same. Sometimes...More
Our guide brought us here for lunch after a tour of Gyrokaster. I was skeptical because I generally don't like the "contracted" lunch spots on a tour. I was so wrong about this one! This was the best food we at in Albania! We had...a typical sampler plate and it was delicious! Everything was tasty and having a bit of everything was quite enjoyable!I am so sorry I didn't take a picture!More
Thank you! Great choice! You got to try all the best food choices!!
Amazing, fresh, full of taste food. We ordered frog legs and they were soo soft, delicious and good seasoned. Also we took lamb and i didnt eat for a long time that good lamb, and it was only €10. Amazing ambience, traditional food and biggest...recommendations for this restaurantMore
If you go solo it looks like isn't enough profit for them. I ordered a vegetable moussaka and it was dry and overcooked. Didn't put oil/vinegar and tiisues on my table, I called 3 times but in the end I had to stand up and...take it from other table. Bad attention and no value for money at all. The cheese and honey pie had been rewarmed at least 100 times, it was chewing. Don't recommend. Better go to the pizzeria down there. They are nice, welcoming and its cheaper.More
We really thought that this was going to be quite the romantic experience when we arrived and were seated. No lights other than the candles on the tables was something really novel. We ordered a drink and read the menu by the flashlight of a...phone. It was only after we started drinking the beer that all the lights suddenly came on. We had no idea there had been some sort of power interruption ! Anyway, the food was excellent. I had the calves liver and my wife had the pork and we shared a plate of ‘fries’. All the food was great. Washed down with a glass each of red and all for about US $16. Tremendous value.More
Our first visit in Gjirokaster and I'd read somewhere that this is a good traditional restaurant. So we wanted to eat there. We ordered 500 ml White wine, they brought red wine and said they are out of White wine. We ordered grilled lamb and...grilled chicken - they were mostly bones and tendon, nothing to eat really. I'm an animal friend but I don't share my meal with them, I don't like cats on my table!More
The restaurant is an excellent location and the staff are delightful. I can’t say we could understand everything they say, but you can’t blame them. Their English was better than our Albanian. We were led towards choosing a plate of a variety of Albanian food....It was fine but not truly wonderful. However the atmosphere of the place was excellent and we had a very enjoyable meal.More
The traditional albanian plate is delicios, you get a small pieces of everything. You can pay with euro, and they have wifi too.
Atmosphere and welcome were very poor. Felt like they didn't really care about us, I spilled a bottle of olive oil and the guy just watch me struggle to clear it up with three small napkins 😂 Food was fine, lots of mint but nothing...to write about. Feel like the rating was based on some years ago and a local in a bar confirmed this to us later.More
The waiter was like the other restaurants in the town trying to get is in. This is a annoying. He made us take his choice, the combination plate. We could get a vegetarian version and our son had the regular. The food was ok but...not very special. It was not hot, but maybe that is the traditional way?More
This is a nice place and run by a husband and wife combo. Great setting and great raki. I ould not recommend the wine ! The mixed platter was a great idea to give the solo traveller an idea of Albanian cuisine and is worth...a go but not all elements were tip top qulaity. However there is another Husband and wife team down a side street by the Black rose pub that offer very cheap traitonal foodMore
Best Local in Town! You have to try. Realy lovely and good food. Traditional. Price is nice :) Best Regards from Switzerland.
