This PUB is crazy DARK inside so bring a flashlight if you want to read the menu..lol. The PATIO is well lite. Noisy bustling place! .Don't worry, it's all good pub food. They micro-brew several fine choices AND local areas have started offering the Ashton Brews too!!

Though off the beaten path, this pub is worth the visit. There is a great selection of really good beers. Try the vanilla stout, Amber & India pale. Food was delicious, good quantity & quality. The fish & chips and rarebit flat bread were winners. Staff were very courteous and friendly. We were told this is the place to end... More

Stopped in on our way home on Sunday afternoon. I had the Irene's red beer and the farmer's salad. The beer was COLD and went down smooth the sale was fresh and crisp The total for the 2 of us was less than $60.00 that was good. The supper crowd hadn't arrived when we arrived, but the place was full... More

This place just seems to get better and better. It keeps expanding and perfecting. The seafood chowder is a meal in itself. It comes with a very small bread loaf as well. They brew their own beer on the premises, which I might add, is excellent. I've tried a number of the brews and can attest to the fine quality.... More

I have been to the Old Mill for lunch several times with my husband. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed with our lunch and would not recommend it to others. This is based on the quality of the food and the price. I had a blueberry wheat beer which was good. I also had The True North Grilled Salmon at $16.99.... More

Ate here over the long weekend with chums. Ordered a number of their craft beers and grub. Food was ok but the beer and the atmosphere will keep em coming back. What a neat spot and with the soccer gear all round etc it felt like everyone's local pub. Great stuff.

I had the True north grilled salmon and was so disappointed. The salmon was obviously previously frozen and quite tough. The blueberries were also not fresh and were likely frozen. The salad looked like it came from a bag. My boyfriend had a burger that was ok but the French fries and gravy were lukewarm. Overall not a great experience.... More

We met another couple there and had lunch. Reservations were recommended and we were glad we made them. The place was crowded and the service was reasonably good considering.. This is a brew pub and the beer was excellent... or so I was told. I don't drink beer and had tea instead and it was not hot enough and it... More

I first starting going to the Ashton Pub many years ago as a snowmobiling destination. In my estimation it declined a bit but has regained its stature under the current ownership and with an in-house microbrewery that turns out excellent beers from light to dark. They serve to accompany good solid pub food in a warm and friendly atmosphere -... More
