We decided to make a stop when we were travelling to Goriška brda. We called to make a reservation 15 min before our arrival. They were very friendy and we got the last table for lunch. They have numerous vegetarian options and we were able...to costumize our menu, 4 courses were more than enough. Highlight of the menu was beetroot pancake which was one of the tastiest dishes we have ever tried. Food was light and ingrediants were grown on the garden infront od the house. We felt like we are in Provence. Their service was amazing, they are kind and attentive. In looks like family run bussines. It is very kid and dog friendy also. Food was amazing. You have to get a vanilla ice cream with figs cooked in rhum. It was the most perfect and light summer dessert you can imagine. Worth a visit!More

This was our dinner to treat ourself on our vacation, and it didn't disappoint. It's a beautiful farmhouse in a vineyard, great atmosphere, and the food was absolutely amazing. We loved all of the dishes & enjoyed the wine pairings. Service was fantastic. It's not...always the case that vegetarians get to order a 7 course all-veggie meal, we loved every bite! Highly recommend, one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Can't wait to come back here on my next trip to Slovenia.More

We stayed 3 days at Majerija, and achieved absolute summer holiday bliss. Outstanding valley area, top biking, pretty rooms, deliciously presented tasty food, and adorable wine - all in great company with other guests we met at the premises.

After visiting Majerija a couple of times prior, and always loving the food, the location and the friendly atmosphere, we decided to organise our wedding there. We were very pleased with everything - the rooms are charming and really something special, the location on a...quiet hill of vineyards is stunning and the food & wine were delicious. We had a vegetarian wedding, and the Majerija team also did an amazing job catering for all our vegan/gluten-free guests. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, and we could not ask for a better wedding weekend!More

Extraordinary taste of food and wine, llovely, quiet, beautiful place with very friendly owners. Chef makes magnificent food that looks amazing and colorful, but taste... omg, so good, so flavorful, so delicious. All the ingredients are fresh and local. We had 7 courses of menu...by chefs choice. We also got 3 extra compliments of the chef. Everything was just perfect: place, staff, wine&food. I recommend this place to all culinary lovers. :)More

We stayed one night at Majerija for our honeymoon and wish we’d stayed for more. The location is spectacular - a beautiful farmhouse right in the middle of vineyards, and great for exploring the Vipava valley. The rooms under the herb garden are cosy and...quirky. The dinner was phenomenal - every course was delicious, the homemade lavender honey was incredible, the wine pairing was spot on. And we couldn’t believe how reasonably priced everything was. We now recommend Majerija to everyone we know who’s travelling to Slovenia - it’s a very special place.More

While exploring the local wine cellars you could easily understand we were super late at the property. We found a lovely note to pick an empty room with a question when we want breakfast :) It is a beautiful place in the middle of nowhere...with really nice rooms to relax... For the food - will do that next time :)More

We had an evening meal here whilst staying in the B and B rooms below. There wasn't anything particularly bad about the meal or service but it certainly wasn't the exceptional either. Given the rural setting, local food and wines we were expecting a real...treat, a hearty meal. Instead everything thing seemed quite average, small portions and the wine paring we selected started off OK then sort of stopped. We were also recommended a side salad with the mains, the two just didn't go together, it was like having a salad with a roast. The main issue was i found however was the atmosphere, it felt a little unwelcoming. We came to dinner earlier than we wanted as the owner implied things would be winding down however it was still busy when we left The service was good but it just felt a bit cold and clinical. You couldn't help feeling that they wanted you out the way and in bed as soon as possible.More
