El Charro is nothing fancy or over the top but if you are looking for good traditional Mexican street food this is the place to go. The service and food have been good every time I have been there and the food hits the table quickly and prices are more than fair.

Consensus of myself, my friends, my relatives, etc. the absolute BEST Mexican restaurant in Mountain Home, AR. Huge portions, attractive placement of food items on plates, realistic décor with a Latin theme, VERY reasonable prices. WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!

If your looking for a real Mexican place, this is it. The food is really good and service is not bad either. If they would remodel and fix place up a bit, they'd be even better. Also the staff looks like they can dress a little more formal. They look a little sloppy. We will go back.

The full is always good but it's seems to be getting alittle more spicy. The free chips are good but we noticed the salsa and guacamole was even spicy than it use to be. Hope this was a one time thing or I will have to stop bringing the kids to eat there.

El Charro was a breath of fresh air! Too often Mexican food is prepared with too much cheese and salt, not at El Charro, it is all about the food. The atmosphere was family friendly and relaxed. We had a vegetarian selection and it was outstanding. Will definitely return when we are in town again. If you like Mexican food,... More

Seems like a typical American-Mexican restaurant. Everyone in my party that ordered typical Mexican dishes was ok with their meal. I was doing low-carb so I ordered the ribeye steak. Wow, I didn't know it was possible to slice steak that thin. I swear, it was about 1/4 inch thick. The ranchero sauce it was smothered in tasted like tomato... More

If you want the real deal, this is it! I've been going here for years and the food is alway great! It's a bit on the gaudy look inside, but to be expected for a Mexican resteraunt. If you want really good Mexican food. You'll love this place!

So - so but The flaming Apple pie is out of sight. Service was fine but our meal was not very tasty. Previous visits were better.

The food was prepared very well and was tasty. The enchiladas were great! The one vegetarian in our group was pleased that the rice and beans were made without lard or animal stocks. The service was decent. We will return and eat here again.
