Came here from our all inclusive resort based on trip advisor reviews. Service was awesome, lobster and the bar were amazing. I saw some reviews about cost but this is less than you pay in the USA for good lobster without being nearly as good. Donald was incredible and I hope he got to keep the entire tip we left him. Would definitely return and definitely recommend to other Americans this is perfectly safe and completely delicious. Be sure you come out of your all inclusive cocoon and support the local community! Everyone is so gracious and beyond lovely.

Started our with a classy Martini and a passionfruit Mojito to be followed by a Octopus vinaigrette (perfectly balanced, not too sour) and Mango Cevice (forgot to mention I do not like Cilantro...) and a freshly pepared chicken Cesars salad . The 2 1/2 pound Lobster with garlic was tender, juicy, and with just enough garlic to not overpower the taste of the lobster, home made potato mash on the side. The steak was not too famous, but it is probably difficult to get good quality meat on the island, nevertheless the yucca fries were top notch. We had a great dinner, summed up to 130$
Really enjoyed the evening with free pickup from a nearby hotel, great service and a nice small restaurant with good interior. Service was extraordinary and is worth the patronage. Would like to go again 😁

Customer service at our resort highly recommended Herman311 for our 40th anniversary lobster dinner. John (the owner of Herman311) picked us up himself and between himself and his staff, gave us a excellent and memerable, authentic Caribbean dining experiance.

We wanted to escape the resort food for a night. I searched trip advisor and this place was top rated. I sent a message on WhatsApp and they kindly offered to pick us up from the resort. We really wanted to try the lobster we were shown two lobsters one 5lb and one 2lb my husband chose a 3lb and I chose a 2lb. We were then informed that the price on the menus was per lb feeling awkward however we said ok baring in mind we no long her had the menu in front of us. My mother in law chose a steak. My husband ordered some white wine this came however was not chilled so we had to wait for that to happen. The cheapest wine was 44 Dollars ! The waiter had poured us water. The food was nice but not worth the bill that then arrived ! The water was 600 Paso ! I refused to pay this as that works out to nearly £6 a bottle. They said it was Italian. So for 3 adults 2 small starters 2 lobsters a small thin steak and a bottle of wine the bill was a whopping £271 British pounds ! Just insane. This was our fault for going and not paying enough attention. Just tainted my Dominican experience.

My fiancee and I was recommended this place by Johnny from the resort (grand bahia principe punta cana). He told us it was the best seafood in town. When we got there, it was only us there, but the manager got us drinks and talked to us about the community. The staff was super helpful and friendly. When we ordered the lobster I wasn't sure what we were going to get, but we each received a 2 lb. Lobster perfectly cooked and covered in a very generous amount of cheese. This was hands down the best seafood I have ever eaten in my life! I highly recommend to anyone visiting in Punta Cana.

Everything is an up sell at this restaurant versus the menu and disappointingly despite spending $72 on a lobster it was completely overcooked and chewy, when I mentioned this and asked the server to try it they wouldn’t and just said sorry. No offer of any type of refund or anyone apologise to us directly apart from the server.
One bottle of wine and water appetiser and mains x 2 at a cost of over $250 including tip.
Would not return and cannot believe this venue is a 5/5 based on recent reviews - food but worth the trip despite good service

We saw all those nice reviews here and thought this restaurant is nice. After checking the menu, we feel the prices are bit high, but ok, we expect to get nice quality food. Unfortunetly the steaks were pretty hard and very salty. The pasta was very average, nothing special. After we finished we asked for the bill and we were shocked that they charged us 150 dollar for 2x steaks, 1xpasta carbonara , 1xshrimps and 4 drinks. After checking the bill we realized that they charged us 40dollars for two bottle of water. After complaining they told us ,that this is the price of the water. What the hell…This kind of behavior is unacceptable und disgusting. DONT EAT THERE. There are plenty of nice and honest restaurant in dom rep. Dont waste your money with those scammers. Also after we finished our lunch. The waiter asked us to give him good review on tripadvison and some kind he pushed us to do it immediately. I felt uncomfortable and told him will review it later.

Your bill was a total of 6280 pesos,
2 steaks 2900, 1 garlic shrimp 800, 1 pasta carbonara 600, two waters 1000 (750 ml Italian glass bottled), two lemon juices 500 and one piña colada 480, plus 18% tax
The total amount of your bill was 7410 pesos or U$D 143. If we would have charged 40 dollars for the water your bill would have been much more than a 150…

The staff, food and drinks were extraordinary from start to finish!
I was looking for a great seafood restaurant to take my friends to and to celebrate my birthday. Republica is my second home so I’ve tried most all the restaurants but somehow I’d missed this gem.
The owner picked us up himself to take to his restaurant. He was super sweet and treated us like long time friends. We were greeted by his smiling staff, all wearing masks and providing us hand sanitizer upon entry in addition to having a bottle on the table.
I can write on and on but I’ll get to the point. I’m an owner of a five star restaurant in San Francisco, my good friend used to be an owner of a seafood restaurant and bar. We are huge foodies and we’re absolutely blown away. The drinks were so absolutely delicious that it’s ruined it for any other drinks we’ll ever have. They were perfection beyond words! The mojitos were by far the best we’d all ever had!
The lobster! Ay mi madre! Unbelievable!! They were huge... about 3lbs is how much mine weighed. So fresh, juicy and cooked to perfect. They purchase fresh local caught and if not sold by days end, they make their delicious lobster salad with it. My boyfriend that doesn’t like ceviche ate half the plate of the ceviche. The shrimp empanadas and garlic prawns were also tasty.
The best part, learning that it was my birthday, the owner left and bought me the most mouthwatering pineapple cake. I don’t usually eat cake but I had two slices! The best surprise that brought tears to my eyes.
Their passion for what they do shows from start to finish. We went elsewhere for dinner the next night and regretted it horribly!
Please don’t pass this gem up, you won’t regret it!

Don't understand how this place has good reviews
Every single meal there was a problem with
- The steak was well done when medium was ordered
- The risottos were overcooked, soggy and tastless
- The seafood paella lacked seafood and again was overcooked and soggy
The risottos and seafood were clearly just reheated and weren't cooked fresh.
It was our most expensive meal yet, but we would've been happy to pay if the portions were big and it was good food, but it was not.
Drinks and service were okay.
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Food exceptional (lobtster), exceptional staff special thanks to Jairon, Jonny, Kayla who looked after us throughout the whole night. The Wine & Seafood beats anywhere in London for a fair price. Lively atmosphere and definitely a place to come to if your looking to get out the hotel. The restaurant can pick you up from your hotel aswell for a small fee when you call in advance.

This restaurant was excellent. The host Desiree and the chef Luis were extremely kind and helpful in picking an awesome meal for my wife and I. Our dinner tasted so fresh it was like it swam in the ocean earlier that day. They also made us quite possibly the best virgin mojito we’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a good local place to eat while visiting Punta Cana.... this place should hit the spot. Good job guys!

Wauw what a great (hidden) gem this restaurant is. This entrepreneur knows food, presentation and customer services on a high level. Their (fresh!!!) lobster courses are outstanding as well as all their other dishes.
My recommendation: find this restaurant and enjoy a great diner experience.

Lobster price is in pound, so minimum 50€ for one.
Taxes ( around 20%) not included and not indicated.

We were excited to taste the lobster as the review says that the best seafood in town, but unfortunately I was not impressed becoz the lobster is not even fresh and overpriced even the 1 whole snapper is so expensive. We've been to many seafood restaurants and never experienced this. Lesson learned as the saying. I will charge this as experience and never again.
The fish is not bad but still overpriced.
I will never recommend this restaurant .
Overall : overpriced and not as good.
This one at the picture I paid $US 180.00 way too much!! For just a small size.lobster and red snapper.

We came in a whim after our hotel didn’t have lobster and needless to say this was by far the best meal during our entire trip. Our five star resort could not compare to the amazing meal and experience we had. They brought out smooth and delicious hookah and they have a vast wine and liquor selection. We started with the shrimp cocktail and the mango ceviche which was a great combination. The sauce on the cocktail was smooth and delicious and the ceviche was extremely flavorful and a combination worth trying. The seafood pasta with white sauce is the go to pasta here and he lobster with the cheese sauce was the star of the show. Creamy and cooked to absolute perfection. Also if you’re looking for an amazing selection of cigars both Dominican and Cuban this is the spot! Amazing service was brought by Dado and the rest of his team here. They even brought out a cake with sparklers and music!Thank you so much for hosting us on my fiancés birthday!!
