Who could possibly visit Lake Village, AR without stopping by for some hot tamales. Eat there or take several dozen home. Absolutely the best!

This place has the best tamales!! We had the tamales, cabbage, and cornbread. She had several homemade pies available, but honestly I was too full. We enjoyed talking with Ms Rhoda and hearing her stories of how people will travel and come by several tamales at a time to take home! We did the same, bought several (one dozen) to... More

Miss Rhoda's is the best lunch I have had in a long time. Food was served by her grand daughter and she was friendly and delightful. We will be back to enjoy this down home cookin again.

The Southern tamale and it's origins are mostly unknown. It's like it's cousin in that it is made with corn meal and then wrapped in a corn husk or paper. Rhoda has the most famous of all the Deep South tamale. She has been written up in all major travel and food magazines and even on NPR. Located in the... More

We visited at lunch on a mid-week day and the place wasn't too busy - we were able to get a table. We had the tamales and the pinto beans - and they were both wonderful. We loved the place and if we are ever back in the area, we will eat here again! If you like tamales, this is... More

This is one of the best places for homemade tamales and pecan and sweet potatoe pie. The tamales are very good. Its in a old shack so if you want to sit down and eat seating is very limited. Only three tables. They do not take credit cards. Will come back again. Rhoda is a sweet ole lady.

If you are driving through Lake Village, you must stop at Rhoda's Famous Tamales! Best ever! Rhoda was rolling tamales with her grandson while her husband was taking orders. Don't forget pie, if there is any left! Also take some tamales to go! They freeze well!

Love Rhoda's. By far best and most unique place to eat in lake village. People literally fly in from hours away just to eat there. She's super friendly and makes awesome food, though definitely not fast. Catfish is highly recommended and so are her tamales. Her pies, which come in normal size and personal (a few inches diameter) are great... More
